Three years ago a new horror appeared, originating from the Astral
Plane, which binds the Soulless God Kethuru. This horror is echoed in a
form of insanity that plagues any who dare risk entering the dreaded
plane. Since its discovery, healers across the Basin of Life have been
stumped in finding a cure or reasonable treatment.

Most notably outspoken in this cause was Marina Whytetower, Oracle of
Mysteries and Mystericon to Lord Lacostian. She along with a small group
of healers investigated this disease in every possible known way, from
analysing the victim's blood to various healing elixirs. Exhausted, she
called upon her patron for assistance.

Marina was charged to gather a small group of Healers to meet within the
newly finished Mysterial Temple for discussions and lastly a Meditation
Circle where Lacostian Himself was to lead. Prior to the final meeting,
the group met with both Lacostian and Marina, analysing the evidence and
debating a possible cure for the insanity. After days of questions,
Lacostian reminded the group that the Astral Plane is entirely a
manifestation of Kethuru's trapped consciousness, and that the answer
lies in the minds of the afflicted.

On the 3rd of Roarkian the group reconvened for their final meeting,
anxiously preparing for the Meditation Circle, and hoping to have their
answer at last. Healers and supporters alike came to witness the
ceremony; those in attendance were Alnra Regamos, Daxera McCloud,
Suhnaye Whytetower, Laura d'Erlette, Ianthe, Diamondais Riverflame, Arix
Windrider, Tully, Suzari Lithara, Jace Natsurei, and Niyu.

The Meditation commenced with Lacostian drawing the consciousness of
each of the attending into the very ether, where He began to siphon the
insanity from mortals across the Basin of Life, relieving many of their
terrible afflictions as He drew them from their psyche and into Himself.

Though the Healers could not invoke the same power and reach over such
vast distances as He, each was gifted with the knowledge needed to
siphon the insanity from others, bringing hope and relief to sufferers
of the Astral's touch.
