Butter Sweetpease, the loveable cook from faethorn, has recently been
wed to a shy and slightly introverted fae named Perriwinkle. The
announcement was startling, to some, though Soll, Nessa and Astrasia
could have envisioned what was to come from their attempts to get the
two lovers to talk. After some courting, and with the assistance of
Soll's impeccable taste in fae jewelry, Perriwinkle happily proposed to
Butter that they get married. Being as shy as he is, Perriwinkle wanted
to keep the engagement a secret, however Butter is almost exactly the
opposite and wanted to proclaim it from the tallest tree in the entire
faethorn realm. They came to a consensus and decided that the engagement
would be secret and the wedding would be very public.
A few months later Butter made the announcement: The Queen of Faethorn
would overseeing her marriage in the traditional fae style and that
everyone who wants to can and should join. The scene was grand and the
guests were even more lavish. Albion, Selene, and Luna, attended in
honour of Mother Moon, whilst Lhiannan, Gwyllgi, and Glumki attended in
honour of Mother Night. High Priestess of the Moon, Tsuki and Queen of
the Night, Shayle, too, did come together to watch the wedding of the
fae. Queen Maeve brought in the traditional maypole which she decorated
with the blue and green streamers. Perriwinkle and Butter took their
places, flew around the maypole with their streamers and met with a kiss
at the end. Thusly, they were married. There were many congratulations
and gifts given, until Queen Maeve decided to give Butter her own very
gift. Queen Maeve would grant any wish that Butter or Perriwinkle
wanted, and when Butter requested that her godmother Jeitara attend,
Jeitara did indeed appear. Waves of shock and tremors of fear shot
through some of the onlookers as the form of an alluring woman made of
came together from kelp. Little Butter smiled gleefully and ran up to
her godmother, thanking her for her attendance and asking her for her
blessing. Jeitara gladly gave it, and then announce her return before
disappearing into some unknown depths of the Inner Sea and releasing her
cursed mutant kelpie warriors upon the Inner Sea. After the last was
slain, she used their deaths as a catalyst to start a volcanic eruption
in the Inner Sea and thereby creating a tunnel from the bottom of the
Inner Sea to the Carai Caroo. Piccarda and Narsrim led the charge into
the Carai Caroo, after scouring the Inner Sea for anything that had
changed.
What will Jeitara do with her new connection the Basin of Life, and what
long-last effects will her presence cause? The world waits with baited
breath.
