A fallen scholar and a curse.

It started when Rahrah the river rafter screamed across the Basin for
someone to come help. He'd found a body floating in the river and when
he pulled it into his raft, the man was bleeding horrendously and barely
alive. Gaping wounds covered his form and his eyes were swollen shut.

Few came to Rahrah's side, though eventually some healers made the trek
to the raft on the Toronada River and brainstormed on how to help the
dying man.

Occasionally, while the dying man was being pondered, he would cough and
sputter asking for help and mentioning something about wolves.

Finally, two individuals, Jasato of the Celestines and Maricial of the
Nihilists, used the powers of puella to heal the man of his wounds. Each
word uttered sealed more of the injuries and helped preserve the life of
the dying man.

While the healers tended to their charge, Kahazul wandered off in search
of what attacked the aging scholar, and returned shortly after having
found an eerie ghostly wolf admist a patch of trees and grass. He waved
the corpse eagerly, having claimed death to the creature.

The scholar, unconscious from his trauamtic event, had little to comment
with Kahazul's victory. While the healers tended to the scholar and
escorted him off to the World Library where he could recover and study
in peace, several more made their trek to the bit in the Toronada Flats
where Rahrah said he found the man.

It was eventually discovered that an entire valley was nestled in
between the river and the Serenwilde, home to a tribal band of taurian
hunters and some rather deadly wolves.

Though little is was discovered of the ways of the valley, one can only
surmise that the rivaly that is witnessed between wolf and taurian is
not a short-lasting one.
