Screams of rapture echoed from the City of Magnagora as the blood-red
spires of the Silent Cathedral shot out of the ground. Alaron y'Bolgari,
the recently elevated High Priest of the Demon Lords of Nil, after his
recent excitement was taken away for interrogation by Fain, of the Red
Masque. He learned that he had a higher calling to the Demon Lords, and
as such he should use is creative talents to build an Altar and summon
the long-buried Silent Cathedral.

After sacrificing copious amounts of various commodities, and a massive
number of pulped angel corpses, High Priest y'Bolgari resumed his place
at the Font of the Beast, in the heart of the Cathedral. With his newly
consecrated land, he performed a short ritual to empower a small wooden
box and gave it to Ur'Warlord Daevos, with cautious instructions to open
only in the presence of the Necromentate. Having followed the
instructions to the letter, Daevos opened the box at the site of the
Necromentate and out poured a gout of thick, black smoke which was
instantly absorbed into the Necromentate.

Not enough time had passed to even take a breath when the Necromentate
spit out one of the metal-encased creatures that had plagued the basin,
yet this one can be found to be much more subservient.
