The signal from the Beacon that emanated from the Transcendental Fulcrux
faltered, causing much alarm among the gods. As the Beacon's purpose was
to send a signal to those Elder Gods still wandering the Void, it was
essential that the signal be strengthened. Elcyrion suggested a method
which would alternate the signal among three frequencies of cosmic
vibration, and Roark warned that there would be consequences of
readjusting the Fulcrux in this manner.

Estarra directed that the gods implement this plan. Rising up over
Avechna's Peak, the gods poured their power into the Fulcrux, reshaping
and transforming its nature. As Roark predicted, this resulted in a
backlash among the master shrines of the gods, which cascaded through
all the shrines in the land, resulting in the destruction of those
shrines.

As the Beacon's pulse resumed its strength among the three frequencies,
it was discovered that the nature of shrines themselves was altered. As
new shrines were erected, they were sympathetic to one of the three
lines of frequencies. Mortals discovered that these new shrines held
different powers depending on which frequency they were attuned to, and
called the nature of these shrines either shield, war or healing.

Thus a new age dawn among the divine orders, as each discovers the
repercussions that these changes have wrought.
