Shifting Earth in the Bonehoard of Magnagora

Massive rumblings echoed through the City of Magnagora as an earthquake
struck the bonehoard, bringing the entrance crashing down and blocking
in both Seritul d'Vanecu and the mausoleums. Confounded, at first, a
small group of adventurers approached to see what had happened, but did
not fully comprehend the impact and force of the earthquake and the
resonance such natural disasters have with the Geomancers until Jaskata
Tredia melded the earth and held it - feeling the powerful vibrations of
the tainted soil echo from deep beneath the ground. Meanwhile, Mistress
Jezebel, rapt with ecstasy at having felt the rumblings of the earth,
was enjoying the bliss of the aftermath. Veonira d'Murani arrived and
began to ask her if she would like to see the epicentre, to which the
wizened mage agreed. When they arrived at entrance to the bonehoard, she
took a moment to caress the earth and get situated, before Veonira
wisely suggested creating a chasm to assist with carving a path through
the earth to reach the bonehoard and its trapped inhabitant. Kalas Ixion
laughed in the face of death and quickly offered himself as the
sacrifice, to which Veonira hesitated for naught a moment. Mistress
Jezebel, after seeing Veonira's failure, decided to try for herself,
realising that she could stabilise the chasm and form steps into an
aperture through her vastly more powerful connection with the earth.

When the group proceeded into the bonehoard, they noticed that the
subterranean catacombs had shifted dramatically. The earthquake had
broken open long-buried halls and mausoleums that had yet to be
discovered, including the sarcophagi of Lord Saverian n'Kylbar, who
claimed to be the first Warlord of Magnagora, and Lord Zsiga i'Xiia, an
ancient and long-dead Archmage of the Geomancers. It had been gleaned
that the despicable gutter mutts had pillaged the bones of the
ancestors, so the citizens took it upon themselves to track down their
remains and place them in the correct coffin. Upon placing the last bone
inside Saverian n'Kylbar's sarcophagus, his spectre appeared and
explained, with disdain, the original High Seats and alliances of the
various viscanti Great Houses. Zsiga i'Xiia's spectre regaled them with
a retelling of the tumultuous events within House i'Xiia during his
lifetime, including mysterious whispers of something known as the Ninth,
the Verses of Magnora, hints of the horrific aftermath of Project
Soulforge, and the ultimate betrayal that ended his life.

What or who are the Ninth? What are the Verses of Magnora? What happened
to the asylum for Project Soulforge refugees? These are all questions
that remain unanswered as the citizens of Magnagora continue to pursue
the knowledge of their city's vibrant past.
