As the dracnari nomads and the lucidian mesa compound clashed in the
Skarch Desert, each trying to destroy the other while searching for the
Hand of Tzaraziko, others started taking sides in this age old dispute.
Akraasiel assembled the Seekers of the Eternal Flame, who devoted
themselves to the return of Gaudiguch. Along with Karrah, Helios,
Nepthysia, Kharvik, Sekreh, Falasin, Zolas, Braem, Piccarda and others,
they lent what assistance they could to the dracnari in their biomagical
experiments to find the Hand. For the lucidian mesa compound, Bau,
Rexali, Qaletaqa, Visaeris and others helped the lucidian researchers in
their development of magical crystal constructs.
In the end, it was dracnari nomads and the Seekers of the Eternal Flame
who finally erected a statue to Tzaraziko under the site of Gaudiguch
and found the Hand. Akraasiel placed the Hand in the statue, finally
completing it, and hope for such the return of Gaudiguch was brief, as
the huge waves of energy melted the statue and turned it into a power
node. And what a node! Though it never recharged as it was not on the
astral plane, it was laden with energy siphoned from Gaudiguch. Cle
Lenaue, who made a lifetime out of the study of the Hand, theorizes that
both nexuses of Hallifax and Gaudiguch are so gripped by each other,
that they are caught in a continual loop. Not until their nexuses are
drained shall it be possible for either city to be released. Or so goes
her theory.
Thus, the conflict in the Skarch Desert continues as the Hand of
Tzaraziko plays games of hide and seek as though it has a mind of its
own.
