Meanwhile, the undead masters of Angkrag have forsaken the Grand Empire of Magnagora in order to focus their attention upon taking advantage of the dwarves during this time of upheaval and chaos.

Deep below the Basin of Life, the war to contain the illithoid reaches a peak in violence, causing the Ptoma Hive to cast off associations with the Free Collective of Serenwilde in order to lend assistance to the Kephera Empire.
