Hello,

For those of you who know me only as the raider from the East, allow me
to introduce myself. Born of Celestian blood, I spent my early years
learning what it meant to meet a personal challenge. Then, when
circumstances found me in service to the Engine of Transformation, I
learned what it meant to fight for a cause. When, in a couple months, it
comes time wield the Staff of Ascension and restore the nine seals, I
will need to draw upon both of these experiences.

But the strength that lies within myself will not be enough. The true
ascendant is raised not by his own will but by the recognition of his
peers. In order to succeed, I must not stand alone.

Owing to the nature of my profession as Overlord of the Midnight Legion,
I find I do not often peacably rub shoulders with people outside the
soot-stained walls of Magnagora. However, the flow of information that
my work entails does give me much opportunity to observe from afar the
struggles and triumphs of the heroes of other nations.

With talents as varied as the stage, the sword, and the sceptre, there
are champions of their vocation (no less than one from every nation) for
whom I feel the deepest respect. I need not name names here, since if
these people have confidence in their abilities, they will surely know
who they are.

Whatever the outcome of the battle, it would be my greatest honour to
have, if only just this once, stood and fought with these men and women
I have admired for so long.
