Some information about Project Cloudspout.

Hi Boyos,
There was a little adventure last month. Some of ye have been asking me
about it so I figured I would share.
Anyway, I got a little confused with what was going on, but apparently
there was some kind of explosion, a leak or sabotage of some old tanks,
which we found out were contained in Shallach. Kronak Bruar guided us to
help reseal these ruptured tanks. He then gave us a book written in
Orclach. Being the only person there (I guess) who could read the
Orclach tongue, I was able to read the book aloud to the people who
helped close the tanks. (Sorry it was so confusing, Xydral was trying to
keep me updated, and Munsia was a bit distracting to the rest of us,
playing some practical jokes and waging an illusion battle with
Vinyian?maybe she was affected by the clouds more than the rest of us).
Shallach appears to contain a hidden weapons project, called Cloudspout,
developed by the Mugwump science corps and then installed at Shallach to
be used by the ur'Guard in case they needed it--apparently this was a
substance that was designed to pacify enemies without engaging them in
battle. Apparently it was used first to help bring the (then
independent) Gaudiguch into the Old Empire, then failed to be used
effective against Hallifax because of their Aeromancy, then there's a
chronicle of it being used in a few other conflicts until being
abandoned and ordered seal due to some disastrous results.
I don't know much more about this. Except we experienced the leaking
weapons ourselves--it caused euphoria and several side effects--let's
just say pack ye pennyroyal because it seems to make ye a dullard. The
tanks are still in Shallach. I would recommend caution in investigating,
since I'm not sure this was the most stable weapon. I could also see
unscrupulous types like the Gnafia trying to get a hold on this--Big
Mama would love this kind of thing! Maybe we need to setup some guards.
Anyway, I'll work on a translation for ye into a book soon. I gave the
original to Shuyin, but I took the notes and will have my own
translation available soon.
