This scroll is to alert all to the finer points of Aethergoop, now that
the gnomes have significantly diluted the existing supply and it is
freely able to be traded among individuals.
Aethergoop is now able to be used not only to form artifacts, but can be
used by alchemists and cooks to craft special brews and candies that
offer a variety of buffs for a length of time, as well as being able to
be used to form artifacts (costing 1,000-20,000 goop), or to transform
an existing artifact in your possession aesthetically (costing 1,000
goop)
One who is unaware of the comparisons between goop and credits may be
'convinced' to part with their goop for an unreasonable price, if they
are not alert. For example
Example artifact costs 6,000 goop
Example adventurer offers 100 gold per goop.
Assuming they sourced all the required goop, it would cost a total of
600,000 gold
Credit market prices are currently around 35,000 gold, fluctuating by up
to 15% at any given time, sometimes more, but we will use 35,000 for my
example.
Based off that rate, they have just gotten a 300 credit (6,000 goop)
artifact for a mere EIGHTEEN credits approximately.
Using the credit market as a basis for more realistic rates:
Artifact costs 6,000 goop and is worth 300 credits
Credit market might be 30,000 gold at the time
300 credits at 30,000 gold would cost 9,000,000 gold
Divide that by 6,000 goop and you get a rate of 1,500 gold per goop.
(As you can see, the first example is insultingly low)
Naturally supply and demand will indeed play a large factor, but do not
let someone fool you into parting with your hard-earned goop for
insultingly low rates - Individuals that will remain nameless have been
attempting to buy for as little as 100 gold per goop - Do your research
first and make sure you get a reasonable payment for your goop!
