Doesn't Evoke Hod get rid of some of those in one swoop?
Unknown2004-10-28 18:09:13
Maybe but isn't tipheret like a 5 power drain or something?
Asarnil2004-10-28 18:11:06
Isn't it a wee bit hard to evoke anything when you have that combination stuck on you anyway?
Thorgal2004-10-28 18:13:07
Costs 3 power, not too shabby, to get out of an allhex that takes 10 power. I keep saying it, before complaining about the overpoweredness of a skill, try finding a way around it first. (not targetting anyone in particular)
Unknown2004-10-28 18:50:27
It wouldn't be hard to evoke if you were hit with just those skills but if they add in diziness/paralysis/stupidity well, then you are screwed.
Asarnil2004-10-28 18:53:30
Allhex Anorexia, Asthma, Impatience, Paralysis, Stupidity, Epilepsy.
Notice the PARALYSIS and STUPIDITY part of that. It gets even worse when a few seconds later they can aeon you.

If evoking Hod works while paralysed, I don't see a problem really. If it doesn't, then it's unstoppable only for mages...since warriors get breathe to cure asthma and guardians get an entity that cures afflictions.

Every skill that can instanly kill you like Death in tarot from achaea

Allhex is a transcendent ability. It is powerful, and power hungry (10p). It's definitely not scarier then Druid Sap (8p). Druid Sap gives permanent aeon till you scrub in a river or use a cleansing enchantment. There are many things that can break an allhex as well, and Focus Mind to begin with (Focus mind is supposed to break Impatience, but was bugged, though probably was fixed by now). Simple matter of focusing twice, curing both Impatience and Anorexia, then Focus body while curing Asthma. Also, all classes have healing abilities, Syphon comes to mind, can do it while paralysed or webbed. Also in Stag there is a Medicine bag. There are dozens more examples, so if you can't break an allhex, it's because they used a transcendent ability on you, and you haven't learned enough abilities to stop it.
Ethelon2004-10-30 14:17:58
Medicine bag does not cure afflictions, only heals a little health more than a sip would and takes health/mana balance so is rarely used

I hate seeing the willowisp message because I know I'm going to die if I'm in serenwilde.
Flow2004-10-30 18:33:34
Well, you let yourself be summoned by coming into the forest. Seriously, so whiny complaining about something you LET happen to you. So easy to prevent
Gaetele2004-10-30 20:47:58
I don't like Teleport or Summon used against me without knowing...
I abhor Aeon and Patchou.
Asthma is the worst affliction ever...
=\\ That's it. Haven't experienced too much to tell.

Uh, intentionally getting summoned is different than getting unresistably instantsummoned into guards.
Grow up
Flow2004-10-30 22:50:57
You were intentionally summoned every time after the first a willowisp was used on you. You chose to enter the forest

I hate being beckoned by a demon when I've invoked red, spiritbonded with rock, stood firm, and I'm a giant! How does one prevent such a thing? I suppose I could probably avoid it by sitting down, but then I'd have to stand every time I wanted to attack someone that entered...

Well.. when I was expecting to be beckoned on Aetolia by an angel.. I'd whore something.. LANDMARKS, you know, the 8 second off eq on Aetolia, and tada! I was still in my room
Shiri2004-10-31 18:47:06
Addendum - GHOST. Man, the amount of times we've pinned Daevos, got him onto about 100 health, webbed him, and he just bloody ghosts and escapes (because eye sigils don't work right now)...geez. It doesn't do anything to hurt us, but it annoys me no end.

Beckoning doesn't actually summon, it just makes you move yourself. Sit, go off balance/equilibrium, get someone to block an exit, climb a tree (i.e. break both your legs), etc.
