I plan to make a fun loving short statured character here in Lusternia. I know that the mage schools tend to be quite scholarly, and Celest is on the pious side.

Where would this style character fit guild wise.... any of the 3 factions I am open to.

Really, there's no clown-silly guild in Lusternia, (yet). And it's really no fun if everyone in the guild is the same boring personality. So join any guild.

Sure, if you join an evil guild they'll all be like, "STOP JOKIN ROUND U FOO" and if you join a good guild they'll be like, "STOP JOKIN ROUND U FOO", but it'll be fun and you'll be different.

Yes, for that is how everyone talks in Lusternia blink.gif

If you just want to act like a moron, join the Serenwilde. They won't notice. Or care. In fact, I bet they encourage you.

That being said, I've seen some very silly Magnagorans and I imagine New Celest has its fair share of clowns. As long as you actually do your part and don't just sit around and act like an idiot, you'll fit in wherever you want.

ya...join Serenwilde. They prolly won't even notice ya. biggrin.gif
Gaetele2004-10-29 22:53:15
Quite. Join Serenwilde. Watch your insanity be flooded off the city channel with "PXIIE HERE" and "FLOW MOTHER" among such quotes.

Serenwilde needs organization.

You put Nikua in charge. That is like having (assuming a player) Golgotha, Emperor of Chaos as an orderhead of (Some God) of Order/Light/Good, whatever. Maybe not that extreme, plus you had like 8 people running.
Unknown2004-10-29 23:11:22
8 people running which means...I got the first part of your post Silvanus but just explain the last one.

Nikua would be the perfect example of something called: an idiot.

Well, from past experience in IRE games, whenever that many people run, the competant voters split between the competant candidates, and the lame people all vote for the lamest person. So the lame person always has more votes. See, the electoral college and two party system ARE good for SOMETHING.

Not saying thats what happened here, but I bet this sentiment is related at least to Silvanus' comment

I think there is a huge difference between fun-loving and witty in comparison to a complete moron who thinks rubber duckies get more outrageously funny the louder you shout them. This is one of the things I hate about Achaea is because of how many of these people flutter the game. I am completely biased against it because it ruins more roleplay than really benefits.

Mangagora. They need a sense of humour. Plus Serenwilde already has enough village idiots to supply the world for decades.

I'll bet he'd love Illusions.

Magnagora has plenty of humor. Just because it's about finding a players corpse and eating it or how Visaeris should change his suffix to "Frolicker of Flowers" doesn't mean it's not there.

How did that flowers thing come up again? blink.gif
Unknown2004-10-30 12:43:57
I'm not really making the idiot clown type, rather a fun-loving happy-go-lucky type.
Typhus2004-11-01 13:50:42
Happy go-lucky type would most likely, not always, come from either the villages or Serenwilde. You could roleplay moving into a big city if you wanted and bringing some of that country style humor with you.
Unknown2004-11-01 15:40:21
Magnagorans have a sense of humor for the most part but no one sees it because that would be bad for our "image" tongue.gif
Unknown2004-11-01 19:34:17
Just ask Chade about the fabulous gift of a honeycake he received from a few of the high-up Geomancers. That thing had more letter-icing on it than actual cake.
Unknown2004-11-02 18:45:00
There's lots of humor in Magnagora. But, like Felemar said, letting anyone else see it would be bad for our image. Ellara's had quite a few hilarious conversations with other members of the ur'Guard in which she's tried to stay irritable but instead bursts out laughing. Not to mention Magnagoran humor's slightly more clever than Celestian or Serenwilde humor. Emphasis on the 'slightly'.
Unknown2004-11-02 21:47:53
If you're going to play the somewhat silly, happy-go-lucky angle, I'd join the most serious band of dour-faced tyrants I could find. It's good to stir up conflict, so long as you do it in a constructive way. For instance, most of celest seems to hate me IC, and I'm not on the best of terms with my own guild leader. I have my suspicions, though, that they all love me OOC. The realms need more trouble-makers. Speaking of which, I love how Silvanus can turn any thread into an argument. I can respect that in a very real way cool.gif
