If you can identify which attack went through PK careful then message me. That would be a bug.

Unfortunately, by the time I checked PK status, it had long since scrolled off in the mass spam of group combat.

Normally in a situation like that, I'm either just swinging, or else using smite down. (but see below for the exceptions I remember)

I do not believe dying drains power. Maybe someone else designed and coded that (there are some areas of mechanics I am not familiar with), but I've never heard of this. You certain it wasn't power you expended in the normal course of battle?

As Mordrin said, its the powersink ability of the Avatar that does this. And since it took SO long to kill me, twice, it easily took my 40-50%.

I'm sure I used pulp once and crush twice that day, as I hadn't used them yet. I couldn't tell you who on. It was fast and furious. But I started the day with something like 55% reserves too after a few Astral runs. I'm POSITIVE I didn't use 80-100 power through the day.

I'll vouche for that. A friend of mine had Avenger set on her, and she was tanking him for sometime as we hacked at him to try and kill it, :excl: , but when she finally died and came back, she reported a 80%-90% power reserve lose, I believe.

Replying to everyone saying something about Powersink, the Mage Avatar DOES NOT use powersink. Powersink, contrary to popular belief, only sucks away mana. What he does do is hit you with three random venoms, and one of those venoms is most likely Escozul, which DOES drain power. Anyway, just wanted to clarify that for you all.
Fain2004-11-09 01:03:12
Random venoms meaning he hits you with Charybdon 3 times (sorry I should have stated that more clearly)
Roark2004-11-09 01:14:54
We really didn't want avatars draining power. The Charybdon (our version of Loki) sometimes fires off the Escozul effect, which drains power. That was an oversight. Since that's not a terribly exciting poison to get as a random effect and so that the avatar can keep his cool random poisons attacks, Charybdon will be changed to never trigger the Escozul effect in its random selection.

Is the power draining effect on it supposed to be so powerful? Nikua drained me from 100% to 4% reserves in a single strike; that's 192 power!

Heh.. Thats alot of time spent searching for power.
