Howdy,
I'm typing this out fast before I run to class.. I'd like to get some feedback because maybe I'm a little off my rocker.
I'm ok with having most of my abilities unusable because I'm rogue. That's a sacrifice I willingly made. What I didn't learn until after leaving was that power type isn't really tracked. If you're a magnagoran your power is all Megalith power. I drained some power out of someone who had Megalith power, and still couldn't call my thrall. Is this intended? is there any chance it will change?
Do you guys thing it should change?

Would be too hard really. Say 1 is any power and 0 is megalith power you could easily end up with 1010101010 as a split and not be able to use your Megalith abilities at all. Even if it just made use of all available Megalith power rather than looking for consecutive power you've still got the issue of not being able to use any Megalith power abilities that require more than 5 power.

To me that seems intentional....but then again can you still call your thral with no power? If so that wouldn't be too bad of an issue. I think it's just to make it tougher on rogues.

If it doesn't keep track, there's absolutely no reason to differentiate. I'd guess it's a bug.

It is the spiritual connection to a particular nexus that allows the feat to be performed. If you quit your city or commune, then you sever your spiritual connection to its nexus and thus cannot perform any feats associated with that nexus.

Yes, I think that, basically, you give up your 'city/commune-wide' power upon leaving it. For Serenwilde we can no longer use totems, I assume Magnagorians lose Rituals, and Celestines... whatever it is that they use, and these skills are all lost whether or not the actual abilities within them require power.
I also assume that power from our nexus, even after leaving the commune, will still allow us to use power-draining skills in non-city-specific sets, such as Knighthood specializations?

I'm assuming Visaeris lost necromancy and nihilism.

Ahhhh. I thought the focus was more on the power *itself*. Ok, that makes much more sense.
Darn
And yeah, I just lost Necro and Nihilism. I can still use Tarot power-consuming skills

I'm actually still a solid fighter. I can just rely on Soulless for my kills and keep them contained and vulnerable with Tarot and such. It's a painful loss, but hardly crippling

Trying to spiritbond bear, for example, tells me that I cannot do it because I do not have the power for that feat. That isn't a feat. It doesn't take power. I don't get it.
