Ok, I just read the whole Celestian Empire history, a well done (and lengthy) piece of writing. Kudos to Whichever of You Guys and Gals Up There wrote it.

Lolly was cool, very hobbit-y. biggrin.gif Also, the Undead Emperor reminded me of Lord Foul from some book, Lord Foul's Bane. The story was great, and it was hours well spent, I must admit.

Soo, what do you guys like about the history? Which are your favourite bits, or which bits do you think're weird?

I like how Serenwilde almost seemed kinda evil in its refusal to aid Lolly, although IC Cronus would completely understand with the decision of the Moon Priestess.

Out of the entire history, I enjoy the Celestian Empire part the most, because it seems less from a far off unreachable place and more like a personal storytelling.

My favorite part of the Celestian Empire history is the serious side of Gaudiguch. They're presented earlier as brainless partyers, and then they get down to business when Ladantine gets to the Flame.

I thought Hallifax's log thingy was pretty interesting. I wonder if when (if) it becomes available as a player city, people will treat it like that.

I thought the first thing was a rip off of Lord of the Rings Beleiraind, or however you spell it, but nonetheless, everything else was.. I would have read many books about history like that. I enjoyed the Vernal wars.

People will treat it probably far less than a giant secretive scientific community. Because that would be interesting. tongue.gif

Darn, that's what I thought. Oh well, worth hoping for, eh? *g*

I think that the Vernal Wars are the coolest parts of the history.. I prefer the storytelling style as opposed to snippets.. I just want to see the Elder Wars though sad.gif

Since I read it with the intention to pick out the Ackleberry parts, those stuck out the most, but I did like the military logs like "Ahh we are getting hit hard!! Retreat! Arghhh *static*

Favourite Line:
"Gaudiguch is a cesspool of illogical extremism."

Close second:
"Frag the Empire!"
"Who the frag cares, Dith!"
"Great fragging enigma!"

I finally read it, and the histories were incredible. As someone who loved Achaea's Mythos as well as their Seleucarian Histories, I think they were fantastic, both well-written as well as containting a bunch of historical insights. My character has a whole new reason (or fifty) to hate the Taint! happy.gif

Where on earth is this Lolly Pringle thing anyway? I keep looking through the library section on the website, but I can't find anything about him. Am I blind/retarded, or are you all looking somewhere else? (or both?)

The Fall of the Celestian Empire, click on that.

It's split up into four stages of the entire Cosmic Hope story.

Each stage is split up into several people's views. One might be an entry in Rowena's diary, and quite a few are from Lolly's Memoirs. And some are just about meetings.

Hah, I guess I am blind/retarded! I didn't realise you could click on the different links on the right, since most of the others were just excerpts. Damn my ignorance. Now I'm gonna go through the rest of the site seeing what I missed. *g* Thanks.
