Well, considering you've bought some credits before (unless I'm much mistaken) it was a good call, IMHO, as Rome: TW is so damn good.

Is your avatar game related, Shamarah? Looks like a cross between an Azer, Sacrifice's Ambassador Buta and that lame evil pirate zombie dude from the Monkey Island games tongue.gif

He IS the evil pirate from the Monkey Island games. He's LeChuck - the picture is from the fourth game, so if you haven't played that I don't blame you for not recognizing him.
Shiri2004-11-08 01:04:08
Oooh, I haven't, but rocks that I got it right anyway! Do I get the bonus points or did someone else get it first?
Shamarah2004-11-08 01:05:35
You get the useless bonus points. Time to change my avatar, I guess.

EDIT: There we go. New avatar.

I love any Final Fantasy game, also the Zelda games are fun. I am a sucker for Mario Party as well.

I will also hold a special place in my heart for a farming sim series, Harvest Moon. It's what my website is all dedicated to and stuff (aside from the fact it was hacked because some people need lives. *mutter*)
Unknown2004-11-09 17:32:15
i love minigames

oh! Yeah! The next Legend of Zelda is .....just......*drool* Oh! Anyone care to post opinions on Halo 2 that are lucky enough to have it? *you lucky bastards*

I'll bet none of you have ever played Clock Tower (SNES). It makes Silent Hill look like a walk in the park, whether it's translated or not.

I have. I'd say that your comparison between Silent Hill and Clock Tower is quite right as well. There's something very comforting about about carrying around a weapon in a horror game, no matter how small it may be. Taking that away makes you much more... cautious.

Nonetheless, I am also very fond of the Silent Hill series, I just don't find them very frightening.

Mmmm. Total War games.

I love the Monkey Island games! I didn't quite like the 3D one as much as the old pixellated one, though... Some things just should remain classic.

I also like the Sims. I like letting my Sims loose and watch what they do on their own. Usually, they screw up big time. Last night, I made a one room house, with plank flooring and Tudor style walls, furnished it as medieval-like as I could, dressed my Sims up in medieval clothing and turned them loose. They liked the all the furniture, but they didn't like the indoor-outhouse toilet. And then, my female Sim made dinner and caught the stove and herself on fire, while her husband was flirting with the skanky neighbour girl. I think she did it on purpose.

An addition on Halo 2.....I kicked it and Fable's asses this weekend. Good games but I hate the damned endings and what am I supposed to do in Fable now? I got his big evil sword and all I can do is kill guards? *I also finished without killing my sister but then the damned game just ends*
Shiri2004-11-16 16:49:13
I hate games where you get an ending and then they let you walk about free but there's nothing to do afterwards. Either give me an awesome FF Ending or a bonus dungeon or SOMETHING, darnit.
Also, Felemar, I hope you didn't take offense to my comment about Briseis catching you up in posts. You seem to have written another 2-300 after I said that biggrin.gif *duck*
Unknown2004-11-16 17:03:12
Something tells me that there's no way I'll pass him up in posts. I just don't have nearly as much to say.
Unknown2004-11-16 17:10:30
I don't have a lot to say, I really just ramble about nothing *wink* And nah! I am not easy to offend really. And yes, I hate that stupid ending too. Here I am, this kick ass sword doing 700 damage per swing *more than the master crossbow* and nothing but guards to kill. I guess I could try to finish courting Lady Grey but....oh wait! That's right, I had to forsake all of my quests to do the final one *mutter*

*edit-Daganev is going to catch me soon if you haven't noticed :0P
Shiri2004-11-16 17:26:32
Yeah, I can't say I noticed Bau posting so much recently. I'm hesitant of mentioning that though, I'm sure she'll notice and start up all over again biggrin.gif Daganev too, huh? I never notice him. I'm always staring at that weird bear I suppose.

Oh man, all of my guy friends are -obsessed- with Halo 2. They'll never see the light of day again, I swear. I did play a bit with them, but I have to say I'm not that good. I used to be an avid Quake player and was fairly good at that, though. I also love playing The Sims (I want The Sims 2, damn Mac), Starcraft and Warcraft 3.

I also forgot about Zelda games! Ocarina of Time was amazing. I don't know why, it's not that the graphics or story is the best, it's just the overall feeling you get from it. Also Majora's Mask, while not as good as OoT, was very entertaining. The Zelda on Gamecube..eh...it was all right.

My favorite game of -all- time is Chrono Cross. CC also has the best soundtrack, in my opinion, out of all Square games. Speaking of Square, when on earth will FFXII be released. A year or two I'm thinking? The graphics are jaw-dropping, anyone who has seen the movie will agree with me on that.

Chrono Trigger is up there as one of my favorite games. SNES really did have -amazing- games. I fondly remember playing Donkey Kong on it also, along with Secret of Mana which is one of my favorite games, and Harvest Moon on SNES is one of the best ones.

FFX-2 was fun, to me, because it's nice to actually not have to play a guy in a game. Too bad my brother saved over my game when I was at the FINAL BOSS (And I'm still bitter).

I also enjoy GTA...I don't know, killing people is sorta fun.

Okay, enough from me! I got a bit carried away. I blame my brothers for all of my totally geeky hobbies! I'm the only girl I know around where I live that plays games, hence I have to hide the fact!

I hate when my brother did that. He saved over my Armoured Core game when I was like, right at the end. (anyone remember that game? It was pretty fun. Kinda hard though at times.)

You can get drunk.. get married then kill your wife then marry five more times (everybody loves mormons).. steal things.. beat up little orphans.. hell they even have a slot in your statistics for how many times you have had sex though I am not sure how that would work with the expressions they give you to use. I just beat the game this weekend too, you'd think they would let you keep doing quests, kind of sucks that they don't.

Oh yeah, and Halo 2 kicks ass wink.gif

I'm surprised no one mentioned Sam & Max, the funniest quest I've ever played.
Niara2004-11-18 14:17:13
Hmm, let's see....

FF 7 and 9
Wizardry 6, 7, 8
Need for Speed 1
Heroes of Might & Magic 3 and 4
ADoM (A nethack variant)
oh and of course my alltime favourite....Elite!
