Perhaps the wings act as resonators?
Does that mean we manly sprites have a greater wingspan? Or maybe we just let blood flow to them when we get excited...

blow them into a prone pistion?
That is just wrong... wrong wrong wrong, and does not belong on a public forum where kiddies may lie.

Hey... What if Faelings got this advantage called
Faeling Dust
We can throw magical dust on people giving them the ability to fly..

Well, I think that might go better as a sprite. I'd sure like for some faerie to do that to me rather than spend ages mounting this stupid unwieldy broom that takes me ages to find out which one's mine and remount it if some silly knight/whatever decides to knock me off.
That would kinda negate the purpose of faelings, though. If everyone could fly, what would be their...unique thing?

Well they would need a faeling to do it for them. The effect wouldn't be permanent.

EDIT: How the heck did I post this in this forum instead of the other one? I didn't even have two windows open. Man, I'm going loopy.

And the record for evillest bump goes to...
But seriously, can we have this now?
Bau2005-09-17 12:25:24
Pwetty pwetty pwease?
Eyod2005-09-19 05:11:57
I think it would be nice, maybe there EQ balance drops to 2 when they arn't hovering or such.
Unknown2005-09-19 05:48:41
Balance, you mean?
Hmm, that's a nice idea.

And then to keep things more "realistic" for them to realistically be able to wield the same size weapons and fit into the same sized armour and clothes as the rest of us, lets have them build huge (for Faelings at least) for them to fit into, complete with rocket launchers and laser targetting and flamethrowers and machine guns too! And then we can forget about calling the game Lusternia and we will all be playing Mechwarrior: the Shortasses!
Just because something would be nice from an RP point of view, especially in an MMORPG, you have GOT to suspend disbelief and take things as they are, otherwise soon you reach the level of completely stupid ideas like this getting through

Not to mention having to code in different levels of "hovering" because a size 1 faeling wouldn't reach a size 21 Igasho's head with one "hover", and as they have dropped to size 1, their reduced muscle structure would mean that they could NOT swing anything above a knitting needle with deadly intent, as they would just physically not be able to lift two large flails or broadswords and hack their opponent to bits.
Unknown2005-09-19 07:28:26
The key part is hovering being flying.
Size and height have little to none to do with it, other than to justify why levitation-like advantages would make sense.
Edit: I have never before come so close to describing a previous post by 'leet'-speak. A scary thought, I think I'd better take a break.

I don't see why a hovering faeling would need several levels of hovering. Surely they'd be able to move bloody quickly enough to go up or down once in the air?
