A question for the Divine

Greetings,
I was wondering if I could get some Divine input on the best way to spark RP with NPCs(Such as Rowena, Elohora, etc.) One thing I've noticed in the last few days is there are a number of points where it'd be great to get the input of (insert NPC here), but I'm just not sure how to try and start a discussion. To the best of my knowledge, the only decent way of asking for something of that sort has been shouting, but that's rather tacky and arguably OOC.

Generally speaking, is there any way to sort of ask that a Divinity take over an NPC and respond to some IC happenings, or is our only option to simply hope that we get noticed and something happens as a result?

Not sure how long ago it was spliced from the achaea code base. But achaea added something which meant the divines saw the tells to NPCs. Mainly to stop death-pinging. But *shrug* who knows

Just use 'say to' when talking to them, or 'ask' them something. If they're going to reply, they will within a few minutes. Just don't spam-tell them as one person who will remain nameless did to Brennan (who only talks to people wearing a certain item, and this person was most certainly not wearing it).

It would be awesome if you (the Divine) could implement that thing on Achaea where if you talk to mobs, the Divine can hear and choose to respond to it as They wish (that is if it isn't already implemented). That was the coolest feature that got implemented on Achaea since before Imperian opened.

And whilst I think about it, that's not an excuse for everyone to go trying to talk to mobiles. If hundreds of people start doing it, you'll find that nobody will get a reply.

Don't expect a reply either. Aside from the fact that all divine are extremely busy, we're far more likely to answer important questions than something like 'how are you today?'.

Speaking of that, how are you Auseklis?
Auseklis2004-11-09 17:13:13
Busy.

Aye we hardly see him unbusy, always on those trips across the planes hard at work.

Just to note, the bit that allows 'say to' 'ask' and 'tells' to every mob, exists in Achaea already

As well as most IRE games as has been proven.

It wasn’t added to stop death-pinging, but to promote roleplaying. After it was added, of course death-pinging would spam those who could see the feature and hence the new rule.
