Congratulations on getting that node, everyone! I know I'm being a total arse about it IC, but that's just my character, so don't get mad *inno* Well done on all your hard work. I hope it comes to fruition soon enough!
Hazar2004-11-29 20:43:12
Ack! All the conversation afterwards got boring.
Trying to figure out how to work on Hallifax, but the leaders aren't around, and I can't get a useful word out of those mesa-dwellers.

I think it was kind of unexpected for the Divines, so they acted like that:
Estarra: Hmm? What are the little ones doing down there? *teleports to the statue* Oh my go... that is, oh my Me! They did it ALREADY?
Raezon: Told you.
Auseklis: *evil grumble*
Roark: *cries and starts to code Gaudiguch areas*

For the benefit of those of us who didn't have anything to do with bringing back Gaudigauch, what exactly happened?
Unknown2004-11-29 20:59:42
I concur. Maybe a log? I was present, but grieving.
Unknown2004-11-29 21:03:45
GAUDIGUCH HAS RETURNED?
i think i hear angels singing.....

No, it hasn't.
They tried, though.

Richter2004-11-29 21:16:36
Hasn't been made yet, by all accounts.
I'd rather like to see both of them back, but wasn't there some huge Glomdoring support? Mmmm?

I still say we need more villages. And remember, builders can only work so fast. We may be out of beta, but there's a lot of fixing left to do. And here we are wanting THREE new cities/communes. Oi. If I weren't thirteen (grumble) I'd offer to help the poor, overworked Garden-dwellers.

Does anyone know who was majorly involved in trying to raise Hallifax? And were they calling themselves anything (like I know the Gaudiguch team were calling themselves the Seekers of the Eternal Flame).
Thanks!
Thanks!

Qaletaqa and Rexali would probably know everyone involved. They were the major players.
No idea if they had a name for themselves.

As the dracnari nomads and the lucidian mesa compound clashed in the
Skarch Desert, each trying to destroy the other while searching for the
Hand of Tzaraziko, others started taking sides in this age old dispute.
Akraasiel assembled the Seekers of the Eternal Flame, who devoted
themselves to the return of Gaudiguch. Along with Karrah, Helios,
Nepthysia, Kharvik, Sekreh, Falasin, Zolas, Braem, Piccarda and others,
they lent what assistance they could to the dracnari in their biomagical
experiments to find the Hand. For the lucidian mesa compound, Bau,
Rexali, Qaletaqa, Visaeris and others helped the lucidian researchers in
their development of magical crystal constructs.
In the end, it was dracnari nomads and the Seekers of the Eternal Flame
who finally erected a statue to Tzaraziko under the site of Gaudiguch
and found the Hand. Akraasiel placed the Hand in the statue, finally
completing it, and hope for such the return of Gaudiguch was brief, as
the huge waves of energy melted the statue and turned it into a power
node. And what a node! Though it never recharged as it was not on the
astral plane, it was laden with energy siphoned from Gaudiguch. Cle
Lenaue, who made a lifetime out of the study of the Hand, theorizes that
both nexuses of Hallifax and Gaudiguch are so gripped by each other,
that they are caught in a continual loop. Not until their nexuses are
drained shall it be possible for either city to be released. Or so goes
her theory.
Thus, the conflict in the Skarch Desert continues as the Hand of
Tzaraziko plays games of hide and seek as though it has a mind of its
own.

How lame. We spent 5-6 hours working on that Friday and lost because certain people for the Seekers have no RL responsibilities.
oh well.

You seem to have tunnel vision. What about the people who spent 5-6 hours working for the nomads on friday?

They spent 5-6 hours making their statue
But hehe, I'm just being a sore loser. Good job Gaudiguch, although I am disappointed in the *how* it ended, but you all certainly did invest time

Unfortunately, some of us have to work fulltime
But, I don't think this is near done yet.

Or have finals, and exams and and...
As for people involved I saw Dumihru and Rafael around quite a bit helping us with cobras and sandojin.
