give cobra to ebony
You give the corpse of a sand cobra to a scrawny ebony wakabi.
A scrawny ebony wakabi shreds the corpse of a sand cobra and quickly pecks at
the pieces until all the meat is devoured.
A scrawny ebony wakabi suddenly expands in a sudden growth spurt, its scrawny
body filling out and two odd antennae sprouting up from the top of its head.
Afterwards, it squawks and shakes its head vigorously.
Teaka Iborchi exclaims, "Our wakabi is full grown. He shall lead us to the Hand
and our destiny!"
(Guardians of the Eternal Flame): Helios says, "Go go go."
Helios leaves to the east.
e
Inside a wakabi pen.
This location is flooded with shallow, crystal clear water. A smattering of
clouds fills the sky, lacing it with spiderwebs of grey. Thin branches have
been tied together with leather thongs, reinforced with dried mud, and then
planted into the dry ground to create a makeshift fence that certainly couldn't
withstand even the most meagre of desert storms. A number of wakabi mill about
quietly, dotting the sand with large imprints of their talons and occasionally
nipping at each other. It doesn't appear any of them have the vigour
necessarily to attempt an escape, which would probably serve as an ample
explanation for the poor craftsmanship put into the fence that contains them. A
dracnari stablehand lingers here idly.
You see exits leading east, southwest, and west.
e
Along a sandy path.
The corrosiveness of the taint sickens the land. A smattering of clouds fills
the sky, lacing it with spiderwebs of grey. Aside from the numerous footsteps
and large imprints of talons that speckle the sand here, it's nearly impossible
to figure out where the path is and is not. The hinges on a rickety gate
providing access to the wakabi pens to the west have been rusted to the point
that the gate will probably never close again, as it now seems to be forever
stuck in an open position. There are 3 dracnari warriors here.
You see exits leading northeast, southwest, and west.
ne
Nearing an encampment.
A smattering of clouds fills the sky, lacing it with spiderwebs of grey. A path
leading to the southwest is barely discernable in the always shifting sands,
although the presence of tent tops just before the horizon confirms that there
is indeed an encampment of some sort in that direction. Small dying palm trees
speckle the landscape, probably seedlings from the palm trees visible to the
north, though too far from away from water to flourish the way their parents
did.
You see exits leading north and southwest.
n
A wide basin in the sand.
A smattering of clouds fills the sky, lacing it with spiderwebs of grey. The
finely ground sand dips down here into a wide basin, like a great bowl in the
desert, surrounded by small dunes. Winds swirl within the base of the bowl into
little sandstorm vortexes. Harsh heat bakes this place like the fires of an
oven.
You see exits leading north, southeast, south, and west.
se
Among fragrant desert sagebrush.
A smattering of clouds fills the sky, lacing it with spiderwebs of grey. Though
to the north are the deep sands of the Skarch, here the ground is hard packed
earth, and desert sagebrush have made their home here. Their earthy perfume
fills the air. An ebony wakabi turns slowly in a circle here, its two antennae
trembling.
You see exits leading northeast, east, southeast, south, and northwest.
dig
You set about, digging furiously.
You unearth the Hand of Tzaraziko!
You see an ebony wakabi yell, "Squawk! Squawk! Squawk!"

We all have those days.. *Dies laughing*
Asarnil2004-12-02 14:08:04
Thats dodgy - here I thought Acquisitio would work with stuff you had dug up.
Unknown2004-12-02 14:12:48
Guido had Acquisitio? He spammed geting the hand so it wouldn''t of work. Hahhaha!
Asarnil2004-12-02 14:32:03
I dunno if he has Acquisitio or not - it was merely an assumption seeing as virtually everyone I know has it these days
Unknown2004-12-02 14:44:12
Maybe Guido is one of these old people who say. Dang these New Spells, back in my day we had to work to pick up our items!! *ducks* zx
Rauros2004-12-02 15:34:59
So Helios is a lousy thief... I see.
stagar2004-12-02 16:14:34
Heh, Guido is just being a idiot in this. If you spam the command, your balance comes back MUCH slower, this is something most newbie's know. If he had waited patiently, Helios would not have gotten the hand..or at least not as likely.
Unknown2004-12-02 20:35:41
Does it? I didn't know. Still, that kind of sucks for Guido.
Richter2004-12-02 21:07:37
It does suck. And I wish the spamming making you slower thing was resolved.
stagar2004-12-03 16:03:37
well, yeah, it is a pain but its like that to try and prevent people from spamming like crazy, which can screw with the system itself from what I understand, its why they will cut your link if you just spam something like hundreds of times in seconds...

Well, if it does, it didn't stop Daganev spamming standing while webbed with no wait, nor *shudder* on Achaea did it stop Larali and Alaiea yelling "YARR" at each other on Druid GT several hundred times a second due to screwy triggers. So the count must be pretty high.
Richter2004-12-03 18:04:50
I once did that over market, with a faulty trigger loop.
I had Xargo trying to kill me less than a minute later.

Answer: don't spam.

Except he didn't do it, you did it and stole the fame. I only have one word for you: Asshole.
Unknown2004-12-04 05:29:17
Not really... We had all agreed we were going to go get it when we saw it, and you would be wrong to assume that Guido did the entire quest, when in fact Guido only recently joined the Gaurdians, although he did help quite a bit. Guido just happened to find the hand first.
Also, as for "stealing the fame", the quest is was a group effort of all the Guardians of the Eternal Flame, and not any single individual.

If this is true, why not just be a good sport and let the guy who dug it up pick it up? I mean, seriously. If it was honestly a group effort, you shouldn't have any 'happened to find the hand first' issues, nor should people be grabbing it from their 'teammates.'

Acquisitio is in rituals. Guido is ex-Serenwilde. Serenwilde doesn't have rituals (thus the semi-annual 'no fair we can't chant Laetitia' thread). Unless he's back in a city since I've been able to play, he wouldn't have acquisitio.
Eldanien2004-12-04 10:06:30
On a marginally related note, enchanters can enchant Acquisitio on jewelry as of a recent change. I find it humorous when a Seren faeling starts imitating brownies by scooping up anything not nailed down.
