My guess is something tied around your waist to keep your legs dry, seeing as how that's a water ride and one friend is wearing a raincoat and the other is quite wet.

Who calls them overalls or "bibs"? :/ They are denim dungarees! None of it is unbuttoned. The straps are attached but they are just held in place around the waist rather than over the shoulder. They do come with an "up" function, but it's not all that pretty. They are meant to be worn down, hence the little pocket you can see.

So much controversy. :S

Don't worry, I know what overalls are. However we generally don't go out wearing them unless we're mechanics or whatnot! These are purpose-bought fashion dungarees, not grubby overalls or "bibs"!

About the same over here except children wear them a lot. I guess it keeps their pants up or something.
