That's not a spelling and grammar issue. It's your advertising being contrary to the product you're offering.

Yeah, that was intentional though. Neos's correction saying, "I know how to properly use words" made me paranoid and I thought that I had meant to type out "inpersonal" instead of "impersonal" since m "m" and "n" keys are right next to each other, and "impersonal" has multiple meanings. The word "inpersonal" doesn't exist. huh.gif

Problem resolved? No one will want me for a parent if they think/know I'm incompetent! (And I know for a fact this one has a "n".) happy.gif

The d'Vanecu are looking for prospective evil spawns to use tutor in their diabolical Magnagoran ways. The family is currently founded under the d'Morrati name and awaiting sufficient number of members to be allowed to turn into the d'Vanecu (at 8-9ish now, needs 10). The family history required for the switch has already been written, submitted, and approved, and we are already using the name.

The d'Vanecu is one of the original eight Magnagoran Great Houses and the one focused on spiritual matters, a tradition we strictly intend to uphold. What this means these days is paying homage to the Demon Lords (whether a Nihilist or not) and involvement in Divine Orders. Due to Seritul d'Vanecu and the crest (skull) we have also taken up the study of Necromancy as our 'thing'. There's a few more facets of the family but they're secret!

We are:
1) elitist and more selective than nature (we have a proud history of child abuse)
2) evil and cruel (and make shoes out of yellow peep corpses)
3) somewhat pretentious and well-mannered (we're always polite, even when we're insulting you)
4) aristocratic and cultured (we even have tea parties (that resemble your family's Thanksgiving))
5) into plots and intrigue (though not of the drama sort)
6) entertaining, knowledgeable, been here forever and some (but Nariah's in her late 30s, always)

We have:
1) everything you could ask for
2) no, really
3) okay, if it's really that important: family manse, clan, lots of cartels, shops, influence, connections, luxuries etc.

We will:
1) spoil you with pretty things
2) teach you how to be a good little Magnagoran
3) give you attention, help, and means to blossom into a powerful Magnagoran figure
4) give you lots of RP opportunities as the family is very close-knit
5) kick your ass if you're found acting like a slobbering fool

We expect:
1) Magnagorans only and ones that intend to stay that way. Expect to be shunned if you leave as there's no better place to be in our opinion
2) preferably Viscanti only but Fain favoured raced like Orclach and Taurian are fine too, so are humans (due to Morvior and his father Aiakon being them). We have made exceptions in the past and are open to them still within reason (Gavriel and Taevi are trills currently)
3) intelligent, mature, ambitious, roleplay-capable, non-drama, non-snuggly, non-attention addicted people
4) devotion to the family, preferably no marrying out, we narcissistically see ourselves as the best
5) any Guild and any age is fine
6) you to understand that building a fine family means your potential spouse/children -must- be approved by us. This is especially important as this family is one of the most important things to us in the game and if you break our rules willy-nilly we will go out of our way to remove you (that would be an extreme case of course!).

Rollcall:
Lots of people in the family either are or were people with lots of influence and positions in Magnagora so instead of wasting paragraphs on a detailed rollcall, here's a short summary of people to get into the family through:

Nariah and Morvior - founders, married, Morvior's d'Murani born, Nariah's Othero's sister, looking for kids, lovingly hating on each other a lot

Othero - founder, looking for children and a wife (trophy one is fine, there can only be one matriarch in this family and that spot's taken. Roar!)

Vhaedryn and Gavriel - first generation, married, always arguing about who's wearing pants in that marriage and trying to be more manly than the other (we had no other way to get Gav into the family at the time so we talked Vhaedryn into this, ha!)

Contact me via a PM or IG, can talk things over OOCly first if you prefer and slowly see if you fit in with us/we don't drive you crazy. IC we’re evil bastards but OOCly we’re pretty cool and understanding people (expect Othero, he’s very snuggly and loves hot pink leather).

EDIT: We may also try finding you a spouse in the family if you can't be adopted in!

To put it best, we can make or destroy you. I think you know which side you want to pick.
Gavriel2010-07-22 02:23:54
Gavriel is a pretty cool dad. If you want to be a d'Vanecu, you'll probably be featured in an artisanal!

PS: We don't want to have to break you, but we do it because we -LOVE- you. You know, in a blackhearted Nihilist sort of way.

Tynghall and Shiawase are looking for children for the newly-founded y'Baeloch noble family.

-Male or female is fine.
-Must be Viscanti for bloodline, Taurian and Orclach characters will be accepted as family members in return for acting as the "family bodyguards".
-Must be Magnagoran.
-Your marriages will be pre-arranged.
-You will have to follow Fain.
-Must be a good roleplayer.
-Doesn't have to be interested in PK, but it is welcomed.

Tynghall:
-Is a Secretary in the Ur'Guard.
-Is a strong disciplinarian.
-Believes in "tough love" for his family.
-Normally has plenty of gold to spare, but probably won't share much of it since he believes in self-reliance.
-Is CR5 in Magnagora.
-Is the Ambassador in Magnagora.
-Is a priest in Fain's Order (near the bottom of the ladder, though)
-Is Transcendent in Forging

Shiawase:
-Is the GM of the Ur'Guard
-Slightly less cruel than Tynghall, but has a twisted sense of disciplinary methods
-Is a priestess in Fain's Order, slightly higher up than Tynghall.

General perks:
-Free forging
-Family clan that is also a forging cartel, and will have family-specific items
-A family manse in the works
-Connections to various higher-ups in Magnagora
-A family that will work to protect you and your noble interests

Edit: If you are interested, send Shia or Tyngh an OOC tell or message in-game, and then we'll RP in each others' general direction.

Reposting this for great justice.

It's eleven o'clock, do you know where your children are? And do you know where Jigan is?

QUOTE (Phoebus @ Jul 17 2010, 05:19 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Phoebus Skyplume desires children. She's a nice trill lady, and she's married to one of those lucidian guys, who happens to be the Mayor of Hallifax, currently. They're both Aeromancers in Hallifax and would expect you to behave yourself in public, so please, even though Phoebus can be a little silly in the head, don't try to ask to be her kid if you're going to make a fool of yourself constantly. A bit of silliness in private is accepted! Just...don't be a moron at the Matrix or anything, please. I beg you.

Trill or lucidian children would be preferred, but if you are of another race and completely awesome, Phoebus has nothing against adopting you. In fact, neither of her current children are trill or lucidian...but I'm hoping to balance that out a bit. It used to be that Phoebus could only adopt people, but I have totally retconned that and conveniently discovered that she can, in fact, have children. So yes. You may have been one of the lucky babies to survive Phoebus' child-handling ineptitude.

The Skyplume family is a mostly Hallifaxian family (there is a Celest branch but Phoebus is not a part of it) and so it would be best if you are from Hallifax, because Phoebus doesn't get out much and would like to be able to see her kids every now and again. They have a family manse, but it's still growing and Phoebus is not rich and will not buy you a room (she'll help pay a little though if you really want one), so don't expect to be that spoiled. Just expect to have a mother who likes to go out and buy you a bunch of cake for no reason every now and then.

So uh, if you think you want to be a part of this whole shebang, just start to get to know Phoebus IC, and shoot me a message or a tell or something. With any luck you will be awesome, and you will think the family is awesome, and everything will be fantastic.

^ Would make a really awesome dad. At this point, he's more of a father figure to Ongaku than his own father. laugh.gif

It's true. And I still want to douse him in perfume everytime I see him, cause that is always outside the city of death and decay.

Anyway.

Kira and Renthur are looking for kids.

You will get a mother who is very strict, and a bit of a perfectionist. She expects her children to be responsible, empathic and proactive. If you find something to be a problem, she won't help you until you try to help yourself. To be a part of her family means to be expected to do work, and not just exist. Her children describe her as "your best friend or your worst enemy" and "an iron lady except not".

Renthur is much more laidback. He's a very loving father from what the kids tell me, and loves to give gifts. He is part of the Institute security, and wants to learn how to fight as a Harmonics user.

We will not accept kids from tainted origins, or kids who show no respect for Ackleberry or the furrikin race. Those can go be Ongy's kids instead.

You'll have access to a family clan (with rules), a family manse (also with rules) and transcendant enchanting and cooking (without rules!). Your brother will be a sparkleberry harvesting Shofangi lobo, while your other brother will be a fighting Illuminati lobo without a tradeskill. Both parents are furrikin in the institute.

Also, you get to play (nice) with Jeanne.
