I could see a few good books.

* A Book from the perspective of the Nine Vernals.
* A Book from the pre Celestine-empire days, one of the empires that came and fell during Vernal or pre-vernal times.

I think Estarra's said at one point that she'd like to expand upon the Vernal Wars, which is really just an outline at the moment.

It totally isn't. Not only is the Vernal Histories full of detail, but various events/quests have also expanded on it. There's already a lot more out there than you'd think.

Both of these would be really cool.

I'm not trying to insult the work that went into the Vernal Wars histories; they're quite engaging. But Estarra has said that she'd like to expand upon it anyway.

As far as we know, all that's left is Meridian and Xyl. I'm excited for Xyl's book, personally, since he's by far my favorite Sharded God.

I suspect it'll be Xyl and then Meridian, given that Meridian was the leader of the First Circle. It would be thematically appropriate for him to give a final "Apocalypse Log" type entry, especially given the often-glorious, often-tumultuous role merians have placed in Lusternia since. Then again, wouldn't it be so like Xyl to be recording his thoughts and observations even as the Soulless destroy everything?

Just wanted to make a small clarification here. Meridian was part of the First Circle, whom were seen as the leaders (and in some aspects coordinators) of the other gods and their circles. Meridian wasnt the Leader of the First circle, he was just one them. At one point it was mentioned that there were only 10 firsts left, and now in the recent book they only mention Eventru, Aslarn <3, and Meridian.

Okay, just wanted to clear that up. smile.gif

By the end of the Elder Wars it is generally implied that he's the leader. He's usually referred to as the leader or face or what-have-you of the anti-Fain-elixir group, and once the Thirteen were banished, those were the only ones left.

I was clearly leader of the First Circle. Until those fools declined to accept salvation at my hands.

If there's really only two books left, I wonder if we're ever going to get the story about how the seasons came to be (and why they're times on Prime, and places in Etherwilde; and why the story is so painful for Lisaera to even think about). It seems like there's not enough time for that to come up or to only feel squeezed in.

When Krokano first discovered the little secret of the Twelve Traitors, he knew that the one person he could absolutely trust that was sure not to be part of it was Meridian, because ever since Amberle death from her lolpeace greeting of the soulless (im sorry but anyone to do a mistake like that TWICE deserved to be eaten..), It had become Meridian's soul mission in life to cleanse anything and everything that is soulless from existence (This also meaning he was the most devoted and sort of preacher of this cause). It is actually one of the reasons why he began to work more with the second circle as a fighter when before he was not known to fight at all (At least know we know why merians are so squishy tongue.gif).

Yes, he did in the end lead the efforts to unmask Fain and his group, but wasnt considered the leader of the First circle (and thus the leader of all the gods since the First circle lead the other gods in their endeavours).

Also a small note to mention. Fain was the only one of the First Circle that was part of the Twelve, so the "Last Ten First Circle gods" were only reduced by 1 with his banishment. smile.gif

Don't undervalue Meridian! I doubt he was some small cookie before the Elder Wars!

Semi historical facts. The idea of Meridian being a "nobody" before the Elder Wars is conjecture. It's never stated how prominent Meridian (or Fain, actually) were in the First Circle prior to the Elder Wars. The only inkling we get is in the book of Trillilial: "Who was it that formed the first alliance that would grow to be the First Circle? Was it Fain? Meridian? Allinvia?" - this suggest that those three were the most prominent Elders of the First, considering they're the ones that instantly spring to mind regarding its formation. I don't think it's as simple as Meridian being the "leader" of the First (what would be the point of someone coordinating the circle dedicated to coordinating, after all?), but I think it's safe to say he was a high profile dude.
