Then there could be a forum rule of 'don't talk about unsubmitted envoy reports' the same as there is 'don't talk about bugs'.
Really though, as representatives of a guild, it isn't fair that the people they are representing aren't fully able to give them their thoughts on matters being discussed.

There is always the option of "Hey >my envoy< I see there is a submission concerning another one of our skills by another envoy. Could you tell me what that is?"
I know Hartstone asks me all the time, and some people not in my guild come to me to find out certain reports. I also tend to post to the OOC clan, Hartstone has, if there are skills being discussed by other envoys that affect us. If your envoy is not keeping your guild aware of what is going on and/or asking for your guilds opinions, maybe you need to petition for one that will.
Basically if you can take the initiative to type report list, then you can take the initiative to type "tell so and so What is report 1234?"

Mostly because there isn't a real problem. I've fought you with Ariatas choking constantly, and you still managed to get out of the room. Except now, you get out of the room, I'm down 3p, and choke is "cured" unlike the former lingering version.
=====+=====
Choke is still "useful," but dear goodness, this makes Shadowdancers much much weaker.

Choke has always been a problem 1 vs 1, because unlike its clone version in the other IRE games, choke does not kill the caster's passives over time. Plus, with passive healing and curing (drink), a Shadowdancer will always have the advantage in choke with passive offense + passive defense.

How does a Shadowdancer have a passive advantage against a Hartstone or Aquamancer? Spiritsinger? Celestine (heretic owns in choke!). Warriors are slightly shafted, but then again, you get contagion/chillaura. Moon/Stag get darkmoon/ancestral curse. Paladins gets hallowed ground. Trackers get darts.
Gregori2009-02-06 14:34:21
Choke is/was only an issue 1 vs 1 if you are a panic curer or can't pause your system.
Charune2009-02-06 15:33:11
Regarding balancing, it will prevent the stun caused by a knockdown. That is why it is different than springup, Narsrim.
And choke.. it's also possible to cure with a system under choke...

Just a question, will choke now follow if both move out of the room?
Like, person tumbles out, but choker follows in less than half a second. Would the choke then be in the new room as well?

It's going to be longer than half a second.
Also, I may make the taking-hold of choke slightly delayed because of the increase gank power potential. Thoughts?
Shiri2009-02-06 15:44:25
How much longer than half a second?

Well, yes, that's nice too, gives more leeway! But you didn't answer my question! ![tongue.gif](style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif)

Eeexcellent.

As long as the replay is sufficiently short that it's possible to actually get away from choke, instead of making it actually worse than before in that regard.
Ashteru2009-02-06 16:09:48
The issue was groupcombat, Shiri, not 1 on 1! Groupcombat was adressed.
And, Charune, if you put in a delay, that's cool but don't make it too long, or choke basically turns worthless for warriors 1 on 1.

The (main, not only) issue WAS group combat. That doesn't mean it won't turn into solo if you make choke easy to chase with. (incidentally the ability to easily chase with choke would impact groups too, although at least it only guarantees one death instead of the whole enemy team's.)
Ashteru2009-02-06 16:33:11
Learn to fight in choke, I guess. It's not that hard, and your enemy is under it's effect too. Put morphite on your weapons to stop tumble, put that disloyalty poison on your weapons to make the SD attacked by his own fae. Try to keep 2 or 3 of every herb outrifted and cure as necessary. ![tongue.gif](style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif)
EDIT: What I am saying is, it is handleable solo. Groupwise, I agree that it was too good, but I don't see why you would want to nerf it now.

The thing is, it's not that simple in practice because whoever's got the impetus is at a large advantage and that's almost always the choker if they don't suck.
Maybe choke doesn't need to be nerfed in solo, but it also does NOT need to be upgraded such that it's practical to chase with it.
Ashteru2009-02-06 16:39:23
Well, I don't think he'd make it much longer than a second. That's still a pretty small margin, heh. But it also automatically ends after one and a half minutes, which is less than half the time it used to last, so maybe that will have an impact too.

If it IS only a second, I'd probably have to agree it's fair (after seeing it in action, but yeah). There were just a bunch of worrying comments on the report arguing things like that the SD should not only be able to easily chase with it, but be able to easily chase with it -after losing eq from an attack.- Given that you might already need to tumble out of a competent SD setup, youch. If that's what Charune meant, it's a major upgrade.

You end up tumbling out of a lot of competent fighters' setups. Nothing quite like the terror you get from four negative spheres on you.
