Cool changes. Someone want to post specifics on the Tracking changes? What is bells? Alarms, I hope!
For 2 silver, you can add a bell to a trap you set, and if it goes off, the bell will ring and alert you if you are in the general area.
As for Conceal, I don't remember what it was before... I think you could just conceal the trap. Now, for 3 power, you can instantly conceal all of you traps in a room instead of one by one.

This may have been answered at some point, but it remains one of the Great Lusternian Mysteries, for me, to this day: when traps first came out, you could set alarms on them. It was not in the AB file and looked like a remnant of code from wherever they were first imported. One day, alarms were removed. I never understood that. At last they have returned!

Remnants from that good ol' Achaea code. Sentinels can set alarms to traps in Achaea. But they ring whenever someone on the same plane trips them instead of local area.

In the past, if someone tumbled out of choke, you had to chase and re-choke. This costed 3p. Now, you can chase and keep them choked. I'd say that's scary more powerful 1-on-1.
Will this make faeriefire more important? (Easier to chase someone if you can see them leave and which way.)

Faeriefire has always been important. I always started off using it because it's essential for Moondancers and Shadowdancers alike as shroud hides when a target wakes up. As such, I'm not sure if it will be "more" important, but it may be a more valued skill.

It's always amusing when Druids and Wiccans say "Faeriefire is useless."

I remember hearing someone say that faeriefire also reduced the base warrior miss rate against the target. Is this true, or were they spouting nonsense?
Unknown2009-02-19 21:30:00
I remember hearing that too

Not that I know of.
Shiri2009-02-20 02:36:52
That's what we were always told back in the day, though whether it's true or not is another issue.

I think someone just read one too many DnD druid modules when they said that.
However, someone should test it.

Fairly sure this isn't true, unless it's in a function I haven't seen.

I'm positive it's not true, but totally understandable from a D&D perspective! (Maybe an interesting envoy upgrade!)

Anything that reduces our chance to miss is a YES PLEASE in my book. Shuyin, get over here...

Maybe something to stop reflections/doppleganger/invisibility.
Like being able to "keep your eyes focused on someone"

The AB pretty straight up says that it makes people easier to hit. Most of us knew that wasn't actually the case, but it's probably why people thought so.

I was probably the one who wrote the AB file which may have been coloured by my own D&D bias!

Back in Gwylifar's day I always wanted someone to faeriefire targets in group fighting, but gave up asking as no one was ever willing. They never wanted to "waste" the eq when they could be doing an affliction or damage or hindering. But that was a long, long time ago.

Heh, I used to faeriefire all the time. It was the only affliction, other than vines, that I could give.
