Yes, and this is why whisper was changed, which was a SINGLE target skill. Lulz at this if it actually works out like Rika said.

Update to Homunculus AB:
TRANSMOLOGY - HOMUNCULUS
Syntax: FLESHCALL HOMUNCULUS
Power: 10 (Eternal Flame)
Flesh: Uurulu, Slaavi, Mhogkhaki, Cluuvia, Hakii, Phlo, Bahlik, Augorum,
Flahti, Olormi, Yig, Lovashi
The homunculus represents the pinnacle of transmology, creating a creature using yourself as a template. The homunculus is under the complete mental and physical domination of its caster. The caster will receive increased health, mana and ego so long as the homunculus lives. However, if the homunculus dies, the caster will experience its physical pain. On the other hand, if the caster dies, the caster will send his or her essence completely into the homunculus and be reborn. More formidably, the homunculus uses its own balance and can even cast some paradigmatic spells. Also, the bite of a homunculus causes insanity. The commands available are:

Hmm. Now Illuminati has both death mitigation and resurrection (even if one is rarely used)? Tsk.

Huh?

At first I was super excited about the cool flavour of these skills! But now that flavour has turned bitter in my mouth as I consider the fact that some of this is just horrendously overpowered.
The thought of chained shockstones, of course, being a terrifying concept to imagine. Even one shockstone on its own is pretty lamely strong, but the idea of it being coordinated like balestones are currently (which really, really needs to be looked at) is just awful. Then there's the polarity thing. Faeling Templar, anyone? Sure, I'll take 15 strength, 18 dex, a sip bonus, and a quick balance regain speed. There's nothing imbalanced about that, not at all.
My feelings on this are starting to turn pretty sour!

FYI, Shockstone should cost 5p.

Hi.
It took Ileein 2.5 seconds of balance to shockstone me. It took me around 2 seconds to concentrate. Here's the kicker. It cost him no power and if there were other enemies in the room, it'd hit every one of them.

Wow I was making a topic when this was all comin up on the same thing. Other can prolly be removed.
Balestone is like roomwide torture for cheaper with no requirement. It needs to be adjusted to cost more or be targetted please.
Badluck should really have been fixed before making it even easier to cast

See, this makes sense.

Faeling templar would have 9 con and 7 int. Talk about a wet paper bag (and insta-bait).
That said, it's something I'm sure we'll keep an eye towards as we look at racial rebalancing.

Balestone being cheap, roomwide, and having no req still doesnt though! (And people complained about torture before?)
Is it too late to get admin to look at badluck? I had thought sior said he was doing so in a ustream, but as of yet it seems untouched and still crazily powerful.

Hallifax does not possess any form of mana instakill.

A full room Whisper? Wow. Unbalanced isn't even the word here.

These were updates based predominantly on the special reports submitted to us as well as some private interviews. Balestone and badluck weren't mentioned and weren't on our radar, but something you can certainly ask your envoys to look at.

Does homunculus casting consume power to afflict with bad luck and grey whispers?

No but it uses a lot of homunculus equilibrium so will knock them out of battle for awhile when used. (We can adjust that for longer equil balance if its deemed not long enough.)

I hate to be cynical here but that's like saying no one has ever mentioned the problems with choke/lich/trueheal/otherOPpower.

In siors ustream he said you were all talking about choke and badluck.... Neither of which have received any changes.
Badluck is a huge issue, it penalizes offense and curing both. You cannot cure it, cannot stop the loss unless you plan to stand in place the whole time, etc.
Torture is 100% cutting and causes bleeding, 3p, requires entangled or paralysis on a target. You gave 2p 1000-2000 damage room wide to all enemies with no requirement. Do these two seem comparably strong? You gave staff casting against an entire room basically. :\\
I recall specifically asking to discuss some things and was shrugged off, and none of it was actually addressed.
Also, the change for paranoia making gems hit is useless for most classes as we cannot make a focus aff stick. Even with a venom and a greenlock you can break it.

If we asked for a special report on Sacraments and no one mentioned trueheal on it, I'm going to presume that the envoys felt it was fine to remain unchanged. I just checked the harmonics and transmology reports we received - no mention of Balestone, in any form.

I'd see the normal demi Faeling buying boosts to make their base 9 str, 20 dex, 11 con, 17 int, and 17 cha, though. Swap em, you have 17 str, 20 dex, 11 con, 9 int, 17 cha. Karma boost war, karma boost int, karma boost life. Herofete. Tosha. Life rune. (Maybe domoths). Yellow. Flex. I might be forgetting something... Like you said, we'll see...
