I knew he came to mind for a reason!

I actually started before him, but he picked a larger age to start at. Then he won those credits, and now he's bigger.

Just dropping by to say hi as well. Also, doing research before I start playing.

Hello.

Hello,

Just started playing Lusternia. I played one other IRE game something like 3 years ago for a very limited amount of time, and I have been playing World of Warcraft, L4D/2, CoD, Fable, Oblivion, and other games since. WoW just released a new expansion and while I like it, the grind is tiring, and I love to roleplay, so I decided to try out another IRE game. I chose Lusternia because its population seems about medium, the history sounds good, and because there are some awesome sounding cities and guilds. Very steampunk and not like the other IRE games that are all, "Be a Cleric! Be a Paladin! Be a Druid! Be a Mage!"

So that's what brings me here. Just finding I need to take a break from the WoW grind on occasion, explore something new!

Aside from cleric, those options are here. tongue.gif

Celestine is totally priest/cleric.

Aside of paladins, they aren't called by namesake, and definitely aren't your typical mage/druid/priest class biggrin.gif which is what makes it interesting.

I picked Lusternia because it isn't your typical boring set of classes with the same boring skills. They are unique. I realise Celestines are the clerics of the 'Basin', but they have a certain flavour, especially with the use of Tarot and Astrology (Astrology, sounds just hands out really awesome). Compared to Achaea, priests are described as healers running around being healers. Same in Aetolia and it's not any different in the other IRE games. It's the same in WoW, priest/cleric class is primarily a healing one. It's really boring. Lusternia did something new, and kudos to them for it.

The option is still there!

Hello!

Joined Lusternia in August of 2010, out of curiosity generated from this conversation:
(Azula irl): I won 100 credits!
(Exaviel irl): Share, share!
(Me):What?What?
(Exaviel irl): Luste. Search it on Google.

...

Apparently, Google does not know of any game called 'Luste'. Wandered around FB, saw Exaviel liking Lusternia, went to the game site, registered a character, wandered around the area surrounding the Portal of Fate, Newton Caverns and the Portals. I also thought the street I land into when I go two east from the Portals is the road towards the Empyreal Academy and the streets above and below that are the ones leading to the other collegiums. Practically, all collegiums in my first mental game map belonged to the same area, somehow.

It was my first time playing a game of this nature, or any RPG close to it for that matter..got this reaction when Exaviel told Azula I was punching and kicking finks and gnomes (aside from dying due to drowning in the Inner Sea): "My god, a mage punching and kicking! Doesn't she have Blast?" Apparently, I was THAT dumb.

End of rant-and-sort-of-intro! biggrin.gif

Haha, welcome! You aren't the only one to have done that!
