POLE POSITION (1984): After their parents death, teenage stunt drivers Tess and Ken join the secret organization Pole Position under the command of their uncle. Along for the ride are their talking computers, Wheels and Roadie, and the little sister, Daisy. It only ran for 13 episodes, but it's great.

BEETLEJUICE (1989): This was based off of the successful movie directed by Tim Burton, but shared few similarities with the film. In the cartoon, 12-year old Lydia Deetz, a social misfit, spends much of her free time with her best friend Beetlejuice, who lives in the Netherworld (a parody of the living world, with various neighbors, villains, and television commercials). It's showtime!

GALAXY HIGH SCHOOL - This is the greatest cartoon of the 80s. It has everything that made 80s cartoons great, including a totally kick-ass soundtrack and an odd obsession with pizza. I would tell you what it's about, but the opening theme tells you everything you need to know. Nancy Cartwright & Jennifer Darling are in this show, too.
