No good, tried it and it says the same thing as if I'm trying to put it inside the plinth. Meh, I just hope it's not broken, though the more things I try the more I'm convinced of that.

I want to do the Cay quest too, so I'll be bugging this. But I'd much rather be 100% sure that it's not just some exotic syntax that's messing things up before I bug. Kira, are you absolutely sure it was a simple PUT OYSTER IN/ON PLINTH?

Also, if you mean kill seagulls for talisman pieces...

Lusternia is one effed up world if seagulls are mammals.

No exotic syntax. It was "PUT OYSTER IN PLINTH" and then wait for the seagull to try and eat the Oyster. Kill the seagull, and the oyster should yield the pearl.

Another question about the Cay quest:

I've attempted the quest several times before and never had an issue of getting the pearls from the oysters. However, while trying to accomplish it after someone reversed the ritual, both the dark and prismatic spheres have disappeared and nothing happens when I put the oyster in the plinth. Is this a bug or is there an additional step that is required to start the quest if the ritual is reversed?

I think it's just a forced cooldown time, much like with summoning Marani.

I'm probably just being insecure and/or paranoid, but I am supposed to give Timbula the raw silk spinnerets spun from the silkworm cocoons, right? It's just worrying me because I've never managed to give her enough.

She needs a lot. You can use the spinnerets from Glom spiders too, and that's probably faster if you have access.

You can also use the rabbits in Kiakodan, Faethorn, and Serenwilde if you run of Tolborollan bunnies. That helps too.

What about caterpillars?

How does one start the Cay and Presidio quests?

As for Cay, there is a good denizen and a bad denizen to speak to about their quests on the island (if the quest is open). They're not named and are hidden among the armies of other denizens though, so if you're not patient enough to search, just say 'I wanna help lolz' in every room and you'll find them.
(Also, note you can only have one of the honours lines at any given time, either good or bad.)

Dunno about Presidio, wondering myself.

The quest mobs for Cay stay in the same rooms - at the northmost point in the cay, or at the northern point of the small diamond in the ruins (which is fairly southerly).

Presidio is sort of many small quests linked together, so it's generally partially done. Talk to Maurus, the guy in the cloak, for instructions.

Who do I speak with to start the epic quest in Serenwilde?
