I noticed that sometimes when you interact with a certain object, like pushing it, you get no feedback line at all, where you get "Blabla is unaffected by your efforts" when for example trying to turn it. Is that some kind of hint that I'm close to achieving something, or is it just a bug?

It happens with a lot of things. It doesn't indicate anything; it's not a significant interaction.

Whether it is bug-worthy, I do not know.

I'm trying to do the Carai Caroo quest to save Joiya. I solved the sudoku puzzle, but can find no clue as to what to do next. Am I even on the right path of the quest? If so, do I continue doing what the bad guy is asking in hopes of being able to betray her later or is there something I'm missing? If I'm on the wrong path, any clues as to how to get on the path to save her?

HOw does one start an epic quest?

Generally, by talking to NPCs.

It varies based on organization, however.

Realistically, get someone to give you at least a hint about what your org's epic quest is about so you can start doing it the usual way (asking questions of NPCs, usually). The trouble is, no NPC is likely to react to the words "epic quest" so you really can't start it without first finding out what it is, from someone else who knows. (And who either found out from someone else, or just happened into it).

And, if you're in the right organization, find the hint chelp file! Especially if some kind, brilliant, and devastatingly handsome personage has dressed it all up like an IC document.
