Does the Mirror quest for the Mesa start in the area with the rocs in the mountains?

Yes, but you'll probably have to do bring the egg you get to somewhere.

Is there any way to do Talthos more linearly? That is, is there a better way to do it than spamming the same darned comms quests a billion times only to get the same clues over and over which isn't helpful?

Edit: It seems only 3 of 5 give clues, and even those clues overlap as well sad.gif

The nomads start with the roc cave, a dracnari lives there. The mesa part starts in the manticore cave, a Lucidian I believe lives there.

Derp. I did this one too. >.>

I know I'm not the first person to post this, and I probably won't be the last either, but arrrrgh, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to start the Clarramore honours quest. I can make all the items for the perfumes, but I'm stuck at the very beginning. I've been trying to figure this out for ages, but I still don't know how to get them to order the perfume or sign up as a staff volunteer or whatever Would someone mind giving me some nudges in the right direction, please?

You don't actually have to get them to do anything to start it. You can start at any step you please, really, so long as you do get everything and give it to all the right people. Just keep in mind the perfume is not the only thing you need to get by the end to finish the quest.

You give most of the items to the snotty trill woman's husband, though there's one item she wants delivered to her personally.

If you've got the item-getting down, that's pretty much the bulk of it; once you do the delivery that part is straightforward.

No, they both take two items, actually. teach.gif

Aha! Thanks so much, both of you. I guess there's a lot of truth in that saying, "Sometimes the hardest thing to do is to do nothing," at least for me when it comes to quests. smile.gif

In the past, you could lose out on getting the honour if you didn't turn in all the quest items pretty close in time to one another. So hand in all four payment slips at the same time.

Whenever I do the quest, I just turn in the slips as I get them, and each time it's worked perfectly for me.

My quest question:
If I'm trying the Malacoda quest, 6th time's the charm, and certain items are missing, do I issue or bug?
Sylphas2011-01-14 01:05:44
I'm thinking it's a bug, whether with items spawning in a place we can't actually access, or just not at all. I've been in there at least three times and I'm lucky if I can get half of it done. SO glad it's not part of our epic.
Kiradawea2011-01-14 01:09:58
You're not the only one who has had to try it a ton of times... seems a bug that they can't find and fix.

Not the case when I tried it. In fact turning in the same slip counts as another slip completed of the 4 total (1/4 was bugged when I did it).
Kiradawea2011-01-14 01:45:52
Happened to me four times. Two times before I tried to get the actual honour, then another two times when I tried to do it for the epic quest.

I must have really bad luck with quests.
Ixion2011-01-14 06:07:42
Aww you'll get there Kira.

I'll help you if you ask IG, I used to do that quest all the time.

Considering the complaints you've had lately, yeah I would think you just have the most godawful luck with quests. tongue.gif

Oh. I've got it done long ago. It was just very annoying, as I had set it up so that I was gonna finish all three of the epic quests in quick succession. But then the Gardens refused to give me the honour until I had done it many times, and when I tried to find the hand, the hand was gone too.

So Dia is right. I have awful quest luck. But then, I have bad luck everywhere. I'm like a sponge for bad luck!
Unknown2011-01-14 17:23:46
Yeah, I used to do the Clarramore quest almost daily back when I was still Faeling Shadowdancer. Once you get the sequence down, it becomes very very easy.
