Where can i find the knife that i need to carve mammoth hearts?

Edit: found a silvery amulet when I dug down when I saw A gleam of silver flashes amidst the accumulated snow.
So what do I do with the amulet?

I seem to recall the knife being just randomly in the area on the ground that shows up when you YODEL from the 9th scale at v10746-A steep cliff-face, which as I remember unlocks the mammoth area. It's been like 5 years since I did it, maybe someone else can help who's done it more recently.

It locks the mammoth area for a few minutes, then the snow goes away and you can getthe knife. The gleam is a locket, something different.

I've kinda run into a wall on the Estelbar village quest, and I was hoping you guys could help out. I've gathered all the pills, but I've only been able to find 4 of the toys from probing, pushing, and so forth. Plus, speaking to the villagers has gotten me some information, but not nearly enough to figure out who gets which pill/toy. Anyone want to give me a hint as to what I might be missing?

Things can be found in a: cupboard, sofa, chest, basket, tub, bench, fence, sandbox, seesaw. Touch, push, pull, turn, and use are the usual quest verbs.

Well, I looked again and found the last toy without trouble, but I couldn't find more info for who gets what and made some (incorrect) educated guesses. If I've been getting information from talking to villagers about the cubs, am I missing something with syntax or am I missing a source?

Or am I supposed to be making educated guesses for about half the pills and toys?

Give the toys to the named villagers, they'll tell you if they have any info that way too.

I'm on the last step of finding the Presidio traitor, and even though I know who the traitor is, I don't have the required proof. I'm missing an item. I've probed everywhere in that place to no avail, begged, killed the downstairs nasties and I can't find the correct proof.

Is it bugged? Or have I just missed something/where? Wish I could just solve it via elimination...

There are only two quests in Hifarae (which are related to the centaur/Gromagh conflict, that is). One quests just gives two different honours lines, depending on whether the third was completed.

You need to feed Centaurs to Gromagh. If I remember correctly, you need to dip some sweetgrass into the poisoned pool, feed it to the non-named centaurs in the hills and lead them to Gromagh.
