So, for fun, I ran some browser benchmark tests.
First one is from Google. Definite bias, but it was the easiest for me to find. Higher scores are better. I ran it multiple times, and there was variance, but there was nothing even close to overlap between the three.
Link: http://v8.googlecode.com/svn/data/benchmarks/v3/run.html
IE: 42.8
Firefox: 82.6
Chrome: 1386
Second one is not from Google. Similar, but much less drastic results. Lower scores are better. I did not run it multiple times, because it runs itself multiple times, and it was painful watching the IE one tick away so very slowly.
Link: http://www2.webkit.org/perf/sunspider-0.9/sunspider.html
IE: 39868.0ms +/- 2.8%
Firefox: 20263.2ms +/- 1.2%
Chrome: 1424.4ms +/- 1.1%
So, not only does Chrome test better on my system, the difference is so ridiculously disproportionate that it's almost funny.

Strange, I got firefox performing closer to chrome then IE:
IE: 34009.0 +/-2.6%
Firefox: 3766.6 +/- 1.0%
Chrome: 1300.6 +/- 2.1%
Conclusion: If you think IE is faster then chrome, you're not really paying attention

You don't -eat- mangoes, you mix them with yogurt and milk and sugar and drink.
What? Yes you do. Raw mango is easy to eat and delicious! When they hit $.50 here last year, mangoes became breakfast and snack food.

Man, the only food around here that grows outside of farms and gardens is mulberry and crabapple. Lucky!
(Not that we've never stolen from a farm, mind you.)

Nope. Chrome takes a few seconds to load a page, IE pops it open instantly. This includes graphic intensive sites.

That is known as "cache". IE isn't actually loading the page.

I grow my own food because I'm awesome. This year I planted hot and sweet peppers, onions, tomatoes, zucchini, eggplants, onions, potatoes, lettuce, cauliflower, beets, pumpkins, and various herbs/spices. I've also got strawberries and asparagus from last year that I'm trying to get rooted into a patch. I have a bit of time left to plant if anyone has suggestions, but by the gods don't suggest corn. The raccoons get my corn every year.

I don't see any beans or peas in your list o farming.
Saaga2009-05-03 19:24:59
I grew a variety of herbs when I still lived with my mother. I might plant some this year too as we have a nice balcony.

Sweet potatoes, maybe?
What type of onions are you growin'?
How about you grow some mint -- it grows like a weed and makes some great tea!

Playing a Pokemon MUSH with Ried.
It's at
Address/whatever: PokemonAdventures.game-host.org
Port: 4202
It's 100% RP and lacks a levelling system, only came out in April, but it's stupid fun.

I feel like such a nerd but it's more fun than I thought.
Serella2009-05-04 02:30:29
Whee, will try playing it later! I need to stop procrastinating, still here working on school things. >_>

I wouldn't worry, playing a MUD is already like +100 nerd points, the Pokemon part can't add more than 5 or so.

How can you possibly drink 100 mangoes before they go bad then?
I ate ten today. The remainder haven't even reached optimal ripeness yet. I may have to buy more tomorrow.
Rave: Aegis Defense Swordmage in a D&D session that potentially pits its heroes against the Inquisition of an anti-Magick empire and it's templar-like Protectors of Pelor.
The DM, a close friend of mine, spent half of a year designing the campaign. He has defined everything (solid to loosely) down to economies/resources, government styles and regional plots, and the names of nobility and royalty, religious cults, guilds, and the hundreds of cities/villages- some of which we will never see. It's basically a sandbox pen-and-paper RPG using the D&D mechanic. I tremble with anticipation.

Its a MUSH, there isn't actually a game, they just rp it all. That there is a lot of nerd points.

Yes. Furry, crossbreeding creatures on a server with minimal code or world building behind it. Hmmm.

Hey, I needed to take a break from essay-writing that doesn't involve Lusternia.

Netbattle is highly competitive and I was into it until that recent lame Diamond/Pearl business. Sooo many numbers in Pokemon battles when you get down to it.
