A rather large bouquet of flowers was just delivered to my door for me. They're rather lovely. blush.gif

Got a check in the mail today from the Electric company. They returned my deposit and an amount I was in the positive on my account when I closed it.

Nothing quite like getting an extra 320$ on payday.

I just got my new computer set up and it's freaking sweet! My first flat screen monitor. Now why are none of my friends online so I can share my happiness with them?

Edit: Now to see how much crap I can load on it before it explodes!

Co-worker just got a king size pillow-top mattress and boxed springs. Her SO doesn't like it. They couldn't return it. They gave it to me. <3

Went to pick up the set of sheets she was giving to me for the bed. She'd ruined it last night while washing. So she hands me a gift card to get sheets. We fought. I lost. New sheet set for the new bed, all free. Got new king size pillows, body pillow and pillowcase while I was at it.

Another co-worker heard about me getting the bed, and she chimed in with a free bed frame.

Free new frame to go with the free new bed and free new bedsheets.

My cost: $41.37

The womenz at work love me. I keep expecting a shoe to fall, somewhere, or karma to perk up and take notice.

Meanwhile, comfy new bed.

Comfy new bed fixes absolutely everything. When in doubt, sleep it off.

This x 1000.

Congrats on the new bed! Though I'm curious as to why they couldn't return the bed. Most places have a restocking fee if the bed isn't defective, but it's usually cheaper than a whole new bed.

Had a written and practical mid term for my massage basics class today. Totally stomped them. cool.gif

Picked up a copy of FF XII plus strategy guide for 9.50 from Ebay. I've had some guy at work talking his ass off about it, so I had to try it.

Suppose I should rave a bit. I've been focusing a lot on the negative lately.

Well, I've got a really kickass job with great benefits. ^^ The company I work for is really good to me, and though I'm a little frustrated with my position at this time, I know it won't be this way forever (hopefully). As well, for once in my life, I'm not scared to death of those above me! It's great! I can actually talk to my manager without feeling like I might wet myself in fear. XD

As well, I'm happy to report that I became engaged a few months ago, on Christmas day, to be exact! My fiancé is the sweetest person in the world, very caring and understanding, and I couldn't be more thankful to have him in my life. ^^ I just can't wait until he's done with school and can move down to Austin with me. biggrin.gif

I tried getting him into Lusternia too, since he's an RPer, but unfortunately, he was a bit too overwhelmed by everything to get into it. sad.gif I remember the feeling though, when I first joined Achaea, there were a billion and one things to learn about the game! He and I play World of Warcraft together though, so I get to enjoy my time with him there. biggrin.gif

I'm also very VERY thankful for all of my Lusternian friends right now. I had a very rough day yesterday, and I thought that they'd get sick of me griping to them, but they were all so sweet and caring and listened and comforted me. ^^ It made me feel a lot better about myself, hehe. <3

Ugh, I know that feeling, too. :/ The best thing to do is to try to take it one thing at a time and assure them that the feeling of helplessness does go away.

It seems there's a gritty, serious film adaptation of the Robin Hood story (titled simply Robin Hood, in keeping with Hollywood's 21st-century trend toward recycling older, simpler titles) starring Russell Crowe premiering on May 14th.

I am cautiously optimistic about this one. I loved Russell Crowe in Gladiator (and who doesn't enjoy an epic revenge story in the vein of The Count of Monte Cristo?), so if the film as a whole is well done, I expect to enjoy it muchly.

Squee...? (Tentative SQUEE!)

I watched the Clash of the Titans last night! (yah, I know, super late, but still!)

It was okay, didn't like the ending, there were some misplaced Greek mythology facts... but it was fine!

but I had to watch it at the expense of doing it with a guy who literally couldn't get his hands off of me... hide.gif

Must carry a rape whistle, now.

I refuse to watch the new Clash of the Titans. Hollywood will not destroy yet another one of my childhood memories.

I want to hear the Kraken roar, then I'm gone.
Too bad that's near the end, huh?

Watch the clip of just that scene online. Problem solved.

Isn't that why we have Rule 34?
