Open-source (i.e., free) graphical roguelike set in space, with various player ships, upgrades, mission to run, enemies to kill and loot, planets and space stations: Transcendence

I found this a couple of years ago and played v0.99 for a while, recently re-visited the site and discovered it's now in spiffy v1.01. Check it out.

Is this a hack or *band or something altogether different?

It's different, but it still falls fairly solidly into the roguelike category, although it's not a traditional ASCII/turn-based roguelike. It's basically a real-time roguelike in space.

Saw Inglourious Basterds last night. Great movie.

Is it bad that I found Hans Landa weirdly adorable?

Daaamn. My scores were kind of lame.

Reading: 700
Writing: 600
Math: 500

;-; Math I expected but I was hoping Writing would've been higher.

...who are you?! Those are my scores(Except I got a 710 on reading).

Despite my working guitar T-shirt crapping out on me just at the moment of performance so I never got to play the intro riff to Smoke On The Water I'd been practicing, I still won Geekiest T-Shirt at the party I just came back from, and as my prize, a mini-marshmallow rifle.

I found the movie fairly entertaining (certain scenes and characters in particular), but it's also a pretty shameless case of revenge porn.

My last shift at work went relatively well happy.gif

Had a few bad moments, but in general it ended pretty good and on a happy note.

Lots of hugs, not a very huggy person but I really like some of the people I work with.

Describing you? Then it might be bad.

I bet you're an A-frame hugger, aren't you? smile.gif

(The A-frame is where you stand two feet back and lean forward during the hug to make absolutely sure your pelvic region comes nowhere close to the other person's.)

More of an "Oh crap, they're coming RUN AWAY AHHHH THEY CAUGHT ME" type hugger.

I enjoy hugs, myself. It probably comes from going to a hippie summer camp (I mean that literally) from age 10-18. There were hugs before bed, group exercises and hugs in the morning, hugs in the afternoon, and all with people who may or may not be fully dressed, may or may not be fully up to date on bathing, etc.

I'm the same way, I love hugs. happy.gif I can't say I went to hippie camps, but... well, that's basically what Unitarian Universalist youth conferences are. >.> Maybe not exactly the same, but pretty close. We were all very close and very touchy-feely. It was one aspect of that environment that I really loved, because I felt really loved when I was there. smile.gif And I'm extremely snuggly to this day with anyone I consider a close friend.

Rave: Just over 2 weeks until I fly to Buffalo, NY to help my beloved move down here with me!! cloud9.gif Plus I'll get to see my parents again, and then my grandmother. happy.gif ... and then I get to meet his parents, which I'm kind of dreading, actually. ><

I'm home from my vacation! Vacation is fun, but home...home is where I like being most.
Noola2010-05-30 04:07:27
Will probably be able to get on my plane to get home on Monday, even though I've lost my drivers license. cheer.gif

It's always good to have your apology accepted. wub.gif

After having no food in my apartment for 3 days, I finally went grocery shopping. Now I don't have to call up my friends and ask to hang out for the evening, have them offer me food, and feel ashamed to accept it!

(the real rave, I suppose, is that I finally got the money to go shopping with.)
Xavius2010-05-31 03:57:04
Potluck Lusternian meet in Lillie's apartment!
Lillie2010-05-31 04:07:52
Let's do it!
Related rave: Peach pancakes with blueberry syrup.
