I ordered a tshirt from zazzle with the picture of Hallifax on it, it came today! (which is...really soon, not even 7 days, so...I know I didn't pay extra for quick shipping, but awesome)
So now I get to wear it everywhere! Hrm...yeah, I'll wear it to work also. They shouldn't mind, it promotes reading! Sort of! Heeeeh, woooo

My day just got 10x better because I got the best fortune ever:
I'm not sure what it is, but I'm so glad it's happy!

At the risk of having to turn in my guy card, I wuv cats. They are cute and warm and fuzzy, and they make the most wonderful friends as long as you feed them.
Plus they make damn good pillows when they're in the mood.

Guy card validated, because you score woman points when you like cats. -sagenod-
If that makes any sense.
That makes me wish for a kitten... and, well, my cat is around 10... so she won't be there much longer.

You know the state of your cat's health much better than me, but you might be surprised. My cat is 20.

We got her when she was five ish, she was an outdoor cat but now indoors, and she was overweight when we got her. She's also aged a lot this year, lost a lot of weight. So, I doubt her living long. I can hope though.
We've had cats and dogs who lasted nearly 20 years before, but this one doesn't look like it.

Dogs are infinitely better than cats. Cats are evil.
Since I was born, my family has had 5 German Shepherds and two mutts. That's part of the reason I am not afraid of large dogs-- during the formative years of my life I lived with dogs bigger than me! When I grow up, I will have a couple of my own. Because dogs just make things better.

I like both dogs and cats. In fact, it's kind of a personal goal of mine to live in an apartment that allows dogs and cats someday and get a puppy and a kitten so they'll grow up together and be best friends.
Only slightly related, was little, I was taught how to walk by a doberman pincher. A great huge one that belonged to some of my parents' friends named Lucifer. Apparently, I loved his pointy ears so much that I'd grab em and play with them. Lucifer would let me for a few minutes, and then get up and walk a few feet away and then lay back down. I'd crawl over and start again. So, Lucifer would start walking further away to lay down and I'd crawl further to get to him again. Then, he'd take to standing up. Well, I was too little to reach his ears when he was standing, but that didn't stop me from trying. So, he'd take to just walking around the room, with me clinging to his side, trying to get at his ears. And so, I learned to walk, clinging to the side of an unnaturally patient doberman pincher named Lucifer.

Poor kitty.
Nosy question: Have you had her kidneys checked? A lot of cats start developing kidney issues as early as ten; my cat has chronic renal failure, for example, which tends to cause weight loss without other symptoms of illness until the cat reaches a sort of crisis point.

That is so cute!!!
As far as I can tell, my earliest memory is being a little little little little kid lying down next to our family's old German Shepherd (who seemed HUGE to me, though I have later found out she was the smallest dog we ever had). I'd put my hand out, and she'd put her paw over it.

I've had dogs too, and I -do- like them, but cats are just the best.
