So, my landlady is pretty awesome. Even if she won't let me have a dog or cat. I got to my apartment to find a bag of homemade cookies tied to my doorknob with a hand written note thanking me for being such a good sport during this whole renovation thing my apartment building's been going through. Not sure where this would go, but I'll put in raves because I'm excited with just a touch of feeling like I've been kicked in my nonexistent balls.
So my phone blinks at me, letting me I've got something new and exciting waiting for me. I grab it, and look to see what just arrived. Oh its an email, entitled "StarCraft 2 beta invitation" I think, must be a scam, but decide to open the email anyway. Is it a scam? No! Its an actual invitation for the final weekend of the beta! OMMAIFREAKINGGAWD. And, and THEN I remember that the graphics card in the computer replaced my other one has a very shitty graphics card and is barely able to run wow. My feelings of joy and happiness at getting a beta key were swept away. :'( I'll just have to wait until I am able to afford the game to play. Fuuuuuu.

I died... but damn if it wasn't fun.

I has plans with Reiha that include a joint apartment, a webcam, Omegle/Chatroulette, a stereo booming with 'California Gurls', and a blue-haired wig. I called dibs, but she's being difficult. :/

Even though I promised my sister I wouldn't watch any more episodes without her... just finished FMA: Brotherhood.

Brotherhood was AMAZING. Love the cold open on the last two episodes especially. A++

Great series. I wish they'd polished up the first quarter or so, it's going to drive people away that aren't aware of how revolutionary FMA really was back in 2003 or so.

Yeah, Brotherhood covers in 11 episodes what the first series covered in 27 (but that includes a lot of filler, since the animators had to put out an episode a week while the manga was issued monthly). The first series did a great job developing Hughes, Nina, and Greed's gang. I dream of a director's cut that includes another five or six episodes to splice in all that great character-building, without all the filler.
