In about twelve hours, I'll be headed to the state capital to watch Jeff Dunham live, with an attractive woman on my arm and a belly probably full of italian. Life is indeed good.

Stayed up until 11am talking to a cute guy. I feel like a girl!

A storm came through last night, with a tornado touching down a few miles away, and straight-line winds hitting my house. Lots and lots of damage in the area. My garden is just gone, and my car is wrecked from a bunch of softball-sized hail and a giant branch that fell on it, none of which my insurance cares about in the slightest.
The above might sound like a rant, but I'm trying to stay positive here. That's -all- that happened to me, and a lot of people in my community have to deal with a lot worse. Huge rave to my friends and neighbors, who are giving me a ride to work for the rest of my time at this house. And to the community as a whole, who are doing a lot to help each other out. It's good to see how bad things can bring out the good in people.

So, awhile back I was living in Sault Ste Marie but moved back home with my parents to so I wasn't spending as much money while I got all my stuff ready to go to the UK in September (still have Visa issues but this is another topic), around the same time I moved down, my boyfriend had to move up there for work. He had told me he wasn't sure when he'd be free to come home and visit, since work was busy, then yesterday. He texted me, saying come downstairs and open the door, and there he was. He drove the 6-7 hours between there and here, just to visit me.

Ice cream truck came by the office, as it sometimes does. But, today, the bossman went out and flagged it down and bought ice cream for everyone!

I have my Visa application forms, just need to wait for confirmation that it is 6 months I'll be going for sure, which will decide if I have the right application forms and fill them out. Plus find health insurance, but that's already in the works. Almost all sorted out!
No, I will not be disappearing while overseas. Just in a different time zone!

If you are going to Britain you are required to bring Shiri real biscuits and real cookies so that he can finally accept the difference and stop muddling things up with his Britishisms.

My car is fixed. Salvation at last.
Also, I am no longer homeless at the end of the summer and, substantially better than the above-mentioned rave, it is confirmed that this will be the last semester of my undergraduate career.

Why do Americans insist on being legitimately insane? Shut up 'bout the biscuits. You're a loonie.

I will concede that my ancestors got it right with scones and crumpets, however I contend that you are still wrong about the biscuits, and shame on you for insisting otherwise.

I've just been to England and while there I went into a store, a perfectly normal British store, not a tourist store, and they had cookies. And they called them cookies. I bought some and ate them. They were cookies. They were made by a British company, too.
You've all been pulling our legs all this time about the whole cookie-biscuit thing. The gig is up now.
