Oops, wrong thread. I shall replace my IRL rant with a small rave over ice cream in December.

Woo, my day off, woo. What's that? Three to five inches of snow on my day off? Wooo!
Unknown2010-12-16 18:58:31
Ended up leaving work early, working from home for the rest of the day. smile.gif

Also, I lowered my chair a bit so that I'm not looking down at the monitor so much, and it's about a million times more comfortable.

I miss high school when a few inches of snow would get you a couple of days of freedom.

Now the best I can hope for is an excuse to work from home. :\\

Where did you go to school? Snow for me meant staying inside during free periods in case a dick threw a snowball with a rock in it at my face.

That must be nice, it takes several feet of snow to close my schools back home, and most likely they wont close anyways, or it just never snows when we would have school!

Went to high school in eastern Kentucky. There are a ton of side roads that the school buses have to travel, which take days to clear if the temperature doesn't rise or the sun doesn't come out. Schools are intelligent enough to not want to risk an accident.

It was over 70 degrees yesterday. It's going to freeze tonight. This is actually reasuring after a real autumn. Texas weather is back to normal.

laugh.gif at Jack for a weird, but short Skype convo. We need to have more like that, hopefully soon. I'd want to see you verbally spar with all the other skype weirdos, like Shaddus, Morvior, etc.

Oh, god. The heavens themselves would tremble at the rage.

Why's that? I'm actually a pretty nice guy when I'm not drunk.

TROOOOON.

I kind of wish I'd grown up with the original so I could feel all nostalgic, but still. Pretty movie is pretty.

Did you see it in 3D? I'm thinking about going to see it, wondering if the 3D is worth it.
Diamondais2010-12-18 13:01:09
Snowing here. Wont be a snow day, obviously, but it's nice, gives me that extra excuse to laze about the house.

I've been universally disappointed by 3D movies, so I've stopped paying the extra bucks for it. Maybe I'm just old-fashioned, but I always find it distracting. I can think of a lot of scenes in Tron that would probably be pretty spectacular in 3D if you're into it, though. Go for it. smile.gif

The question is, does the 3d come out(Gimmick), or does the 3d go in(Actually using the 3d to provide an enhanced experience)
