I finished EarthBound the other day, and I have to say what the hell was that.

I only played it for a little way in before my gamer's ADD kicked in, but I was laughing all the way.

My favourite part was when I looked into a dustbin, and found a perfectly edible hamburger. laugh.gif

My aetherhunt bread turned out to be one of the yummiest I've ever made. cook.gif

Wow, didn't expect to be the object of necromancy. We have a T1 line now, by the way. smile.gif

But it's no swimming, no boating, and limited fishing, since it's part of the water supply.

What are you pulling down in speed? (effective speed, such as speedtest.net)

1.44Mbps down, 1.43Mbps up, 49ms ping. Nowhere near as good as DSL (and costs ~7x as much!) but until DSL comes here, it's way, way better than satellite was.

It's very easy to just completely freak my mom out. I don't think she understands sarcasm. rolleyes.gif She's been away all week and she calls to let me know she's coming home tomorrow afternoon, asks how things have been at home and I say "Oh, you know, parties, fires, piles of garbage on the floor, the usual" and she gets all like WHAT?? suspicious.gif

My twin, I have never been so disappointed in you. WHY WOULD YOU GET A KINDLE? OMG THEY ARE SO DUMB -RAAAGE-

/discontinues rage in Raves.

Also, having complained for weeks:

You possess 3 clan slot permits.

Because I can get schoolbooks for half the price(Whee no paper fee) and they won't break my back.

Also because Peccy has this -gigantic- collection of Ebooks and I haven't been able to read them when I need to (Skewl)

I have a nook, it's awesome. Better than kindle because it supports epub.

Fake books. Hmph!

Kindles don't work for me. Books are covered in notes by the time I'm done reading them, and the screen would get all inky.

But they're filled with real words.

Before I got my nook I felt the same way - I thought it would be weird to read without actually holding a real book, and I thought I would miss the smell. Ends up none of that was true. It's better than holding a real book because you can hold the nook with one hand and still turn pages, meaning you don't have to keep sitting down whatever beverage you're enjoying. (Imagine, reading a book, drinking coffee, and turning the pages at the same time!). Also, most books are cheaper or down right free, and my real book collection was getting so large it was starting to run me out of my house. Now I only purchase a real book if its a graphic novel.

You have not entirely convinced me, but maybe in the future, maybe. dry.gif

This one clearly never mastered the one hand page turn! Tbh, I prefer real books to e-books however I will read e-books if I can't afford or am unable to go to Barnes and Noble for moar books. Real books 4 eva!

I'm a total hippie, so I'm gonna have to go with electronic books over real books. happy.gif

EDIT: No, real books makes electronic books sound lesser! They're both just as real! I'm going to start my own subtle wording war on the other side.

I prefer electronic books over dead tree books.

I just got to where I couldn't afford anymore books, and didn't have any room for them anyways. When you move twice every year, you learn to limit the amount of stuff you have to haul around. I love my ebook reader, I only wish I could find more books available in epub.

Got sushi with a friend. smile.gif It's nice to feel social every now and again.
