Yeah we did, there were children flipping the train off and waving theirs butts at us. It was amusing, we also went to the town with the ridiculously long name, Llanfair PG.
Heh, yep, that sounds like the Porthmadog youth!
Interesting facts: (You may have got these facts from the tour guide already!) All the land to the left of that embankment the train first goes over is reclaimed land, there is also a circular embankment with sluicegates to prevent flooding. The town was built on the reclaimed land and is exactly 200 years old this year, and if you go back in the summer my mum will be doing tourist walks as part of the town celebrations. There is also the close by town of Tremadog which had been designed to be the main town, but everyone built around the port instead. The poet Percy Shelley stayed there for a while.
I also have cousins who live in Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch. Although yes they mostly call it Llanfair PG or Llanfairpwll!

Got lots of pictures of the town name! The train was okay, today was very cloudy and rainy so our views weren't very good.

I could say that that was unusual, but I'd be lying.

Oh my god I was just reminded how much I love the movie Les Choristes. It's just so adorable and sweet and sad and the music is amazing you should all watch it (in subtitles, of course, because it's French).

Cupcake Hell Weekend, Level Three: Clear!
Estimating conservatively, we sold 1437 cupcakes in the five hours we were open today, and that doesn't even count the dozens and dozens of pre-paid orders I had to fill before the store even opened. I don't even get my usual day off tomorrow because it's V-DAY. Very tired.
But this is a rave because I am an effing cupcake superhero.

Is it sad that I'm almost jealous because I would love to work in a bakery?

It is not sad that you're almost jealous. It's sad that you're not working in a bakery! Go out and get degrees in linguistics and psychology so you too can live the dream!!

Rangers finally snap their losing streak! 5-2, suck it Penguins. And Callahan the local boy scores 2 goals.

Down with Sydney "Cry Baby" Crosby! I approve of this post. And I don't follow it as closely, is the East beating up on itself as badly as the West? It's a freakin' train wreck over here.

I am dreading tomorrow. Not because it's Valentine's Day, but because I'm going to fail my first chemistry test. Gods of science, take mercy on my procrastinating, scientifically-stupid soul.
So, uh. I don't know what I was expecting? But it definitely wasn't fifty multiple choice questions that worked like:
A ) Hi I obviously am incorrect
B ) I'm even stupider than answer A
C ) I am mysteriously elaborate and coherent!
D ) I'm the stupidest answer of all, AND I'm a pop culture reference!
I realize I should be disappointed with this behavior in an environment of "higher learning" but I think instead I'll run around in circles going "wheee!"

The only thing better than a multiple choice test is a true/false test.

Or like how 'All of the above' is almost always the aswer?
I've never felt that exams are an effective form of gauging how much you have learnt, so, even if you know nothing about the topic, at least you get to learn from the test, right?

I hate true false. The ones that are well written are nearly impossible for me to discern.

Multiple-choice tests FTW!
My entire computing career is built around the fact that:
A. Microsoft and Cisco exams are all multiple-choice.
B. My employers aren't aware how stupidly easy this is if you have a reasonable short term memory, or are good at guessing.
Shhhhh...

I can not stand Cindy Crosby or the way Bettman and the league treat him like a precious princess. I hate to say it but the Flyers are deservedly the class of East, they manhandle everybody. The Bruins and Tampa have good records but they've looked very beatable at times. The Caps had that crazy long losing streak and Pitt was without Cindy and Malkin for a stretch. Heck the Rangers called up half their AHL team for a while. It has been brutal. Lots of hard nose hit'em hockey across the whole league this year. Made for an exciting if stressful season so far.

Sounds like the East is about the same as the West then. It's just brutal all over.

A bit of a premature rave and not hockey related. I move at the end of the month. It is going to be stressful finding time with work but I can't wait, as soon as I'm moved in I'm getting a rabbit. I miss having pets.
