Well, there's my problem. I never really find anything that I enjoy practicing or doing, so I don't really do anything. Also, I don't really think I get better with practice. Like... at all.
I find it hard to believe there's nothing you enjoy, man. Even a lot of the skills you develop playing a MUD can be transferred elsewhere. (Increased hand-eye co-ordination, typing skills, basic coding skills, a larger vocabulary from participating in the Hallifax bureaucracy...)

I'm now officially a thrown weapons Marshal-in-training! Also, thrown entrenching tools make an awesome thunk, and throwing two-handed lumberjack's axes is pretty badass.

I went out to lunch with my dad today and the waitress called me Sir. She apologized like crazy, and my dad tried to be like, DON'T BE UPSET. Little do they know, it made my day! I was in a chipper mood the rest of the time because of it.
Also, on the way home, there was a big sign advertising PHYCHIC READINGS. I gigglesnorted at it.

Well, finally installed an A/C unit in my bedroom last night. It's sooooo nice. No more sweating my butt off while surfing the web or sleeping.
AAAAND I had a nice big sirloin steak and taters for lunch today, with a nice big glass of milk to top it off. Now to crack open a mountain dew and relax all afternoon.

That really is the case. I can't think of anything that I could do for a living that I enjoy (or would be good at ).

Woke up way to early today, but mom wanted to take me and sissy to some quilty thingy. I had gotten confused, and thought it was closer, and in a different place, when it was farther, but ok. We get there. I realize oh. This place. I've been here before for a school trip, I think. Or something, cause I remember it. Time to shut off brain. There's a lot of walking. (If my brain doesn't go to a happy place, I would have started whinning a lot). With my brain turned off, it was a pleasant trip. I saw a printing press (two, actually) and used one of them to make a copy of a map of part of the state. And then we talked to people, but not very much, since we already knew how to do all the stuff. And then I bought fiance some apple butter and pumpkin butter, cause he didn't get to come. And then we ate and went home. And I crashed to sleep. I also found out today when my brain is out for the day, I become exceedingly sarcastic and witty. Or at least the sarcastic part. I only thought I was witty at the time. Ah well. It was nice. And sunny. And not too hot. Sort of.

I thought(well, I kind of pieced this together) that you wanted to study theoretical physics for a living...

It was Nuclear Engineering and I ended up hating it.

This reads like a passage out of one of those books where the narrator slowly goes insane.

I think that narrator's gone already.
Shulamit2011-06-27 04:58:49
There was never any question if I was insane or not. I'm pretty sure without a mind, I was insane. I think it came back once I took the nap. I'm at least more here then I was before.

I don't care if I hate the yellow and orange starbursts. Scarfing 240 calories in one sitting on cheat day is the best part of the week.

Spent yesterday after work at the beach. Have a sunburn despite having been attacked with sunscreen, but it was a good time. Summer is here, woo.
I also have the overwhelming urge to bake... which isn't something I normally do a whole lot of during really hot weather. However, it is time for me to attempt to rival the beautiful, professional works of Daraius with my home-made, uneducated and unskilled but delicious tasting... well, food. Sometimes it turns out, sometimes it looks like a blob. Baking can be fickle.

My things are home-made.
Sometimes I borrow tools from work, though. But I make my cakes at my home!!
