It's funny, but I thought it was pronounced 'sky-pee' until I did the test call thing and the voice said 'skipe'

There's a text chat, btw, so if you add me now with the thing I PMed you we can chat and then phone tomorrow morning when my parents are asleep.
Unrelated rave: Umineko is great. Never having seen a visual novel before I wasn't expecting much.

I'm at work right now. The Skype is on my laptop, but the boss might wonder why I was messing around on it instead of working. We can chat on AIM till I get home from work, if you just wanna chat?

I found an old movie of the Batman animated series where it had Kevin Conroy playing him! Go Batman!

Two Words: James Morrison.
Specific song? "Love is Hard". Yes. Yes, it is.

In keeping with these recent musical raves, I discovered Tom Waits (relatively) recently. He's such an amazing artist, probably the best lyricist I've ever heard. I've been working my way through his discography, and I'm glad it's so damn large. Makes me want to pursue a music career.

I'll toss out my current musical rave - Sea Wolf. Just bought their second CD, and I'm loving it for mellow, destressing, beautiful music. Style-wise, they are kinda, hmm, Travis-esque, I suppose.
Some of their good songs:
Middle Distance Runner - good song about commitment and love
Winter Windows - somewhat creepy song featuring a HARPSICHORD. Yes.
Black Leaf Falls - good player-piano-style bit at the end.
Gah the entire album is great, tbh!
Also, yes, Tom Waits rocks. He's from San Diego, I do believe.

The owl that I saw out my window several times last year has returned. I was worried he'd moved on, but he's back out my window right now, watching the finches.
Here's him last year:
Here's today's picture:
He seems a little plumper. I guess the hunting's been good this year!
Owls are great: he's just sitting there calm as can be watching while I stand in my doorway taking the picture. We've had an adorable little white ermine running around our deck the last few weeks scaring away the birds and squirrels and chipmunks, but I can't catch him with the camera, he's way too fast.
Edit: Replaced the second picture with a closer, better one.

That is so cool Lendren!

Awww, that's so lucky of you! The only animals that visit me are mosquitos, and they love me to bits.

For some reason my computer won't let me see the pictures. Who is that a picture of?
Lendren2009-02-20 16:34:43
Of the owl that visits my land, and is right out my window in front of me right now.

I love owls as well. They're perfect - patient and seem to notice everything that goes on around them. My secret idols!
EDIT: I still have some plumes of an Eurasian tawny owl from my last hiking trip, too.

I've replaced the second picture since he flew down to a closer tree so I got a clearer, better picture.

He does look a little chubbier in this pic.
