Although I would understand the transferring rule being applied here. I think I would consider it selling if I got real money for it. I don't think getting an in game item for an in game item could be selling, it would be more like trading. I mean unless the credit is considered equivalent to actual money.

You're still gaining something for something else, which is used as a currency in the game.

Exactly, in game currency not real world currency. I can't sell something for fake money. But the fact remains, can't transfer characters.

right but that is all in game stuff. Your in game character is selling a game item for in game currency. You are selling nothing. If you were to eBay the tailored goods then you would have sold it.

The point isn't really whether it's being sold or not. The point is that a character created by one person cannot be played by another, whether it be sold for credits, real money, carrots, or nothing at all.
