Eh, it's usually the Rip van Winkle excuse for me. Aerotan slept for thirty years. My Nekokitty is using it too. My Celestine will be using the deep meditation and prayer route, I'll probably sneak him up to Celestia, and Lady Elohora's creche, where I'll eventually just sit, letting someone find him. And Syrii and his fiancee are both using a joint excuse of spending time alone together at the suggestion of Garick's player.

Shurimaru doesn't leave at all, his trans Stealthiness just makes it so that no one can find him unless he wants to be found.

I remember when Shuri first told Amat that after they got engaged. It was adoreably cute.

Shuri: My love, I must warn you, I am going to be practicing my stealth which means that I will be unseeable unless I intend to be found. I shall miss you greatly!

I think I've only ever had to go inactive once and my excuse was doing some weird report for the Fates. Later I found out that Nihilists don't work for the Fates thanks to a certain Heresiarch.

And now I know.

All of my characters got purged during inactivity but Kial, who's never gone inactive. So I just say they moved in with Kial in his head.

So Kial becomes a Collective?

I never came up with an excuse. I just...disappeared. But of course, no one has ever really known who my characters were, so it wasn't a big deal.

I want to be missed.

I can never make up excuses cuz if I go innactive it's usually sudden and involuntary (internet shutting down, computer breaking) and I dun have another way of gettin' on, I am apparantly missed though, makes me smile when ya come back to those messages of, "Where are youuuuu?"

If Aiyana ever has to go missing, she's gonna hibernate.
