So, I was thinking, and I was pondering some new tools for mentors.

-Mentorskills = Let's the mentor see like SKILLS of that protege to make sure they are at the right skill ranks....May see pointless, I guess

-Mentorseek = Msg "Help! I am lost and I can't use tells!" Essentially let's you see a general location of the novice...

Those first three are even available outside of GA (at least GM, GC, and GR19?).

Not even. You get the GUILD SKILLS priv at GR10 (though I guess not enough people get there to know).

Huh. I was not aware that level of information was available to the higher ranked guild members.

Dunno how I feel about that.

At any rate, your mentor isn't -always- in your guild. Though they generally are, I've heard of exceptions.

Yeah, my protege Senna left the Aquas a while back, but was still my protege.

Well, I mean, I was just throwing out some ideas! Haha. I know they have plenty of benefits already, but I was just brainstorming. Keeping things interesting!

I've never really found too many evil uses for it. I guess find out if someone is in super cool clan so that I can be jealous. Maybe leer at all of their nice potions. Um, not have to ask them what their skills are. If anything all it ever really does is make guild tasks was quicker and cuts out on the number of questions I have to ask.

Good lord, bashing on Lusternia must be damn hard. How about mentors rather learn to hunt in ways that don't put their proteges into danger of dying?
The group leader can already take the majority of damage from mobs that assist, and if even the hits of a single mob are putting the life of your protege at risk, just don't have them hit at all or hunt easier things.
Obviously, aggressive mobs are a problem, so hunting those should be avoided. If you have to walk through aggressive mobs (like in the undervault) to get to certain places, have your squishy companions teleport to you once you're there.
Now and then, people following you while bashing -will- die, it can happen for various reasons. Is that so hard to accept?

your logic has no place here, sir.
