Where are people getting all of these historical facts? It always surprised me that things like the Knowledge Quiz asked about things I had never even heard of, and I've read everything on the Lusty website...

Marilynth and Pool of Stars...the original Pool was a nexus, then Marilynth was raised, then she destroyed the Pool, then the people of New Celest created the new Pool? Is that the right history?
Unknown2010-03-31 22:36:12
Yep. The first Pool of Stars was where Spectre Isle is now (the old Celest).

It's definitely there on the website, under Vernal Wars + Cosmic Hope etc.

To clarify, Serenwilde and Glomdoring have some link to the Astral plane(most likely just because of wild nodes) but their nexus does not connect there directly like the cities do. Also these links may not have been formed until after Project Cosmic Hope.

Depending on how elemental works, there is always the possibility that there are cross-elemental planes out there though unlikely. You would also expect that there are many more cosmic creches, we simply do not have the ability to connect to these which could be interesting. All the creches that the gods came from becoming available for us to access.

It really wouldn't surprise me if you had things like the Elemental Demiplane of Mud, which is the area where Earth and Water are closest to one another, in addition to several other elemental planes yet to be discovered. The stories always gave me an impression that there were many Cosmic planes and many Elemental planes.

Semi-complicated question started on Lusternian Twits.

So basically I got Nicholo to leave practically everything behind everything and I'm basically considering Hallifax and Gaudiguch, a.k.a. Smartasses and Jerkasses.

I'd like some added input onto where to go, I was originally interested in the Illuminati, but seeing that they won't be out for some time and that Nicholo's not been really on good terms with Magnagorans who are now from Gaudiguch, kinda considering Hallifax now. So... a few opinions would help? smile.gif

Hallifax has Phoebus, what more do I need to say? wink.gif
Unknown2010-03-31 23:06:44
... next question, what's a Phoebus? o.O?
I retain my previous question, however.

A beautiful creature. Kidding. C'est moi. I don't wanna try to be a jerk and force you to come to Hallifax, so I will just say that in my personal opinion it is quite awesome and not full of stuck up people. Ok, there may be a few, but I'd hardly say it's the dominant personality.

Size is a little wonky if you're trying to just go for height, too. Trill have a size of 10, but they are taller than humans! I mean, Fraesic Sunfar, a trill denizen in Hallifax, " at least eight feet in height". So yeah, I don't think it means just height. I think it means, like, other stuff too but oh gosh it's so confusing

Size is in reference to their all around mass. Trill are light-boned (like a bird!), but are markedly taller than humans. I'd say 12 is a fair point to say six feet, average mass. But you can be 10 and be closer to 7 feet, with a much lighter mass. That's my general rule, anyways.

Stay rogue for a bit untill you start to feel the absolute NEED to join a city. It'll let you clear your palette.
Shulamit2010-04-01 00:01:13
But don't stay a rogue for too long. Otherwise, you might go nuts, like me sad.gif

It really isn't a bad idea. The one (RL) month of rogue-ness I had was a very good experience. Though it was also good it came to an end eventually.
Unknown2010-04-01 00:11:24
So. That size stuff from before got me thinking. Exactly how tall would the average trill be, anyways?

I would probably agree with the rogue sentiment actually, you're probably going to be able to slip into either city with any influx that occurs when the next guild opens and Xiel will most likely have the skills on his site fairly quickly so you could have a look at what you might like to play more.
Everiine2010-04-01 02:00:03
EDIT: I have no idea what I was directing that at.

Now that village feelings work again. Does doing the honour quest in the cities have any effect upon village feelings?

And what are the lowest level of village feelings?
Everiine2010-04-01 02:51:52
Okay, what cartel owns the design that is something close to "a hunter's bed" -- built of tree trunks, lots of furs -- and who is in that cartel?

I would guess there are heaps of cosmic planes but alot would probably be like Continuum.

It could be interesting to see demiplanes for elemental, they'd likely have connections to the current elemental planes but might not be strong enough on their own to serve as an anchor for a nexus (to say "No you can't have the great mud city"). Would also give cities another battle ground to fight on though conflict quests are bad and all?

No it does not. It does affect commodity production in most if not all cases, though.

And 'lowest level' is a bit vague. It depends on your political structure.
Esano2010-04-01 08:10:54
Can we get a rankings of village feelings? Currently we're working off instinct and names, which can be inaccurate - I'm assuming "Sacrilegious" is worse than "Profane", for instance, and both are worse than "Neutral".

Where does one find Korath Chokuul, leader of Shallach? I wandered all around that place, and the beginnings of the Catacombs.
