It's the purse. Definitely.

So... these vacuums are basically cheap versions of parafilament purses?
They're worth about twice as much as the purse, at current dingbat prices. Not only are they half-decay, they can be locked.

CODE
o Rare Slow-Decay Containers (200 dingbats)
  - Permanent and resets to owner
  - Each container holds 100 items and never decays
  - Any items stored in these containers decay at half the normal rate
  - Owner can KNOCK to seal the container shut so no one else
can open it, and KNOCK again to unseal the container

Wow. I've basically made 600 dingbats in the last hour. Shuyin rocks.
Rika2010-04-27 06:06:00
You can get more than one? :/
Arin2010-04-27 06:20:25
How many times do designs go to Mortal Reviewers before it actually get to Charites for final approval?
I have had a design rejected about 5 times now and I only change things that the reviewers tell me to.

You shouldn't be able to get more than one per character.
If you are, you need to report that.

So sad the quest is gone... I missed a day and I lose an artifact
Shuyin, send me one!

When they elevate themselves, or you submit it flagged NOMORTALREVIEW, I think. Otherwise it just churns through reviewers, all of whom will pick at something different and tie it up for ages.

So.. I've always wondered this. How exactly can shields, something while magical is technically physical, stop mental attacks?
Razenth2010-04-27 08:45:33
They don't. That's what psi shields are for.

Do so. Bards attacks are technically mental. And yet shields stop them.

Aural is not mental.

Do spec races gain spec stats when they are warriors with hunting? The answer seems spelled out in the race descriptions, but that seems odd to me.

They don't.
It is a little odd, though I guess they're not 'embracing' their organisation-themed skill, so they don't get specced.

Drop a monolith.
Ileein2010-04-27 11:16:26
So... if you, say, had a vacuum with three or four denizens left to find, could you do that and get the vacuum dingbat artifact still? Or is every part of the quest gone forever?

That kinda supports Pectus' argument, though, since shields don't cause the user to become deaf to aural phenomena in general... not that I'm aware of, anyway.
I suppose it makes sense from a gameplay perspective in any case, just not literally.
Unknown2010-04-27 13:33:10
Personally, I say a MAGICAL shield does whatever They say it does.

While deafness protects against aural attacks that doesn't have to mean it's the only thing that does. It's easy to lose sight of the fact that they are also aimed. Everyone hears the minor second, but only one person is at the focus of the sound waves and takes the damage. It is therefore also a physical attack.
Still, I'm with Iasmos; there's nothing in the description of Circle/Pentagram that suggests it should only protect against physical things anyway, so I don't see where the question even comes up.
