Yep. In guildhalls, GA. In city territory, Minister of Culture. In a shop, shop owner. In a manse, manse owner. HELP FURNITURE.
CL can also handle it in city territory.

What were the changes made to serpent? Was it that you can't put it up within x minutes/seconds if it dropping, or that you simply no longer regen power while it's up?
Or more than that?
Or more than that?
All I know is that when you move, serpent drops, and it takes some x amount of time before it'll go up again or something.

Does invoking blue keep animals and stuff from relaying what you say to their owners?
Invoke blue does pretty much nothing noticeable, I think.

Question about a few combat runes:
-Can the critical hit runes stack (seeing as it doesn't say you can't have more than one.)
-Can the magic enhancement runes stack (seeing as it doesn't say you can't have more than one.)

Does the cloaking module aethership artifact only cloak you from other ships or does it effectively cloak you against aetherbeasties, as well?

Probably a yes to the latter. Attaching more than one of any artifact rune always adds another 10 charges.
Probably no to the first. Why would anyone get a level 3 crit rune if they can just get three level 1s?
Unknown2010-05-16 16:33:40
Magic damage boosting runes don't stack. Life boosting runes don't stack. Critical hit runes don't stack. Only the highest one counts.

This might be something better researched in-game, but I figured I'd try and save myself the trouble.
Are bard instruments intended to be the only existing instruments in Lusternia? Would it be against canon to, say, refer to other instruments in writing? And could any character be expected to be able to play (or learn to play) a non-bardic instrument?

There are non-bard instruments out there. Drums are pretty common, but they're not the only ones.
No reason a character can't learn another instrument, even a non-bard.

I think there's a piano in Delport...
Also, Glomdoring does have drums.
Unknown2010-05-16 21:04:09
I've always thought of it in my head as like, the instruments available for use are just the instruments that whatever the whole music thing that bards use is (probably explained somewhere, somewhere I don't feel like looking for) works with. Wow I am bad at words today.

Back in the first months of the game, Lisaera arranged for my then-active character to be given a set of drums which were to be used in Serenguard rituals, so that's canon establishment not just that there are drums, but that it people could learn to play them without the Music skill (though there wasn't a USE DRUMS reaction or anything, I just emoted it).
I'm not sure how far one could go with assuming you can learn to play a piano or harp, though. One could make an argument that, just like I can't pitch a tent despite it being a very basic thing to do (and I can design and build the things), or set a campfire, and just as you can't climb a tree until you learn it, that "it only makes sense you could learn" doesn't actually hold; furthermore, even bards don't learn songs until novicehood is over, only scales and intervals. Then again, the fact that everyone can SING could be taken as support for the opposite. So I doubt anyone can make an absolutely irrefutable argument either way, and I doubt you'll ever get a canon answer.

As far as singing or playing instruments, I prefer to think of it in the context that only Bards can do so with any kind of magical powers behind it, and that everyone could, theoretically, learn to do it just for enjoyment.

I think that sounds right, too.

Does anyone know which regen afflictions allheale will cure, and which it won't?

Allheale does cure amputated arms, collapsed lungs, collapsed nerve, cracked elbow, cracked kneecap, ruptured stomach.
It does not cure pecked eye, sliced tendon.
I don't know about burst organs, chest pain, concussion, crushed chest, damaged head, disemboweled, mangled limbs, severed spine, shattered ankle, shattered jaw.

When stupidity forces you to sip a potion, does it always sip from the vial that's "on top" in your inventory?
I'm starting to think so, since my Magic Ink has a lot missing from it, enough to indicate it's every time. Not sure, though.

Definitely is, good idea to leave allheale or a salve at the top of your potionlist

Yes. Put a salve in that spot and be happy! Game doesn't let you drink a salve.

How exactly does one put a salve on top of the list? Drop the vials and pick them one by one in a particular order?
